I learned more from this one video than I have learned from any resource I have found. Thank you very much.
I am glad I could help you learn the concept. :)
this channel is a life saver
Arturo Rodriguez Thank you for the comment. I'm glad I could help.
You really don't look like a student...idk why you are learning this
He could be talking about helping his family out. Like his daughter or son.

saved my sanity tonight! helping my daughter with homework and didn't know how to explain this! you did it perfectly!
I have an exam in 3 hours and I finally learnt how to do this. WAY better than my teacher

OMG THANK U SOMEONE FINALLY CLEARLY EXPLAINED THIS. Thank you for saving my math grade lol
Thank you very much. I have been struggling to "see" this and now I understand. And you gave both examples. !!!
Thank you so much! your far more capable than my teacher :)))

Thank you for captioning this
you teach better then my geometry teacher
U just summarized a 40 min cls with ease , thanks
U have just saved me, I have an exam tomorrow and this vid had genuinely just saved me, thanks soooo much
The y-intercept is (0,b). The given point on the line is (-1.4). Notice the y-coordinate is 4, but this is not the y-intercept since the x-coordinate in not 0. This is a common error.
You are finding the y intercept which is b. They said it isn't (-1,4)
Only 30 seconds in and I understand my math so much better already.
Explained better than my math teacher.
Thanks! I really needed this quick reminder for my final
Thank you dude, if your channel is all maths formulas, imma subscribe.
Easier than any math teacher that taught me. Thank you
thank you so much! i was stressing so much and come to find out it’s so easy.
hey nyko
thank you u litteraly teach better than my advanced math class teacher
If there were a way to graph my shift of motivation, it would have a slope of 1 million. Hahaha thank you!!! So helpful.
Dont understand why this has any dislikes at all. Thank you so much!
probably other teachers
Thank you so much 😭 I understand so much now.
THANK YOU SO MUCH MY KING!
Thank you sir for having explained it both ways. You made it easy for me.
Omg i needed this and I have a test tomorrow

thank god for this channel
My Algebra grade would've dropped from an A to a D if it weren't for this video!! Thank you!
Thank you so much, this defiantly helped!
When you subtract 5 from both sides is it because of the original slope or the new one?
I really like your background. What software did you use?
Thank you very much for the help!
thanks it was very helpful. its like life saver
thanks man thanks man thanks man thanks man thanks man that really helped!
Thanks you help me with my school work :)
I probably would have failed geometry if it wasn't for you guys LOVE YA!!

I have the same problem, (8,10) for the points but for the y-intercept I have y= 8/3x+7. I'm really bad at fractions, how would I solve this?
This was very clear and understanding thank you
You are the best, thanks man.
What we do if the equation is x+24=-5 and the point is (1,2)? How do we solve this if we do not have a y?
so when you use the equation y=-5x+4 , you dont do anything with the +4 ? you only use the slope and the point ? so you just basically dont pay attention to the +4 am i right ??
dude you're the best
Gotta say, I'm learning this right now in school, I missed the day where the teacher explained it, and I have a test the next day. This saved my life!!!!
God bless you, man. Thanks.
Ohmygosh this video is such a great help
Wait why did we disregard the 4? (y=-5x+4)
Hey our task is to find the equation or determine the solution of each linear equation whose graphs are given. It's just the points and now Idk what to do. HELP ASAP THANKS.
Youve earned my respect
You are my math hero

Okay at 1:20 what do you mean, "Okay, but the y coordinate is not the y-intercept because x is not equal to zero?"
Thank you very much sir

Write an equation for the line parallel to the line −4x − 3y = −1 through the point (6, −9). Please enter your answer in slope-intercept form or standard form. How would you solve this equation?
Thank you, thank you so much for your help!!!!!
I'm glad I could help.
Mathispower4u u help no one
thanks so much! this was very helpful
this is so helpful
This was soooooo helpfull thankyouuu
Now if the equation says y=x-8, would I write that as y=x-b or y=x+b when folowing the first step?
Thank you
+b
Thank you so much!!!!
wow thanks bro that helped alot :D
Thank you.
Hello sir, mind if I ask what's the +4 in the y = -5x +4? Thank you, would appreciate a lot. :)
y intercept
Thanks helped soooo much!!!
Thank you
Nice thank you very much
Is it Necessary to have same answer for both 'y'?
As I have sign issue in my answer
One of it is +ve & other is in -ve
thx so much 😊
Ill be back here in 4 years
But how do you write it in standard form?
Brilliant! Thanks
What happens if they are just ordered pairs and no slope give how would you do that?
use the y - y1 = m(x - x1). Substitute the y2, y1, x2, x1 with the y1 and x1 in the equation.
You find the slope of the line that spans through both points, and then you solve like he did.
Thank you so much
Thank u sooooo much
How do we know we add 4 to both sides 3:06
What if your equation of the line , m is a fraction?
thank you
Thank you so much teach'.
what happened to the 4 in the equation?
Thank you again!!!
