EXCPET the original Road And Track: The Need for Speed That game was legendary, and as a kid when that game was released and i saw it for the first time, i was in so much awe, it was the best looking racing game, and also best physics in a game at that time. Maybe now it seems old and tired, but back then it was the crown jewel of racing games
I disagree with you for putting Rivals in the #16 spot. Rivals is a great and underrated game but sadly most people didn't like it compared to the previous ones. What I liked about Rivals is that it has the combination of Most Wanted (2012), Hot Pursuit (2010), Underground 1 and 2, and Carbon. Those 4 have combined Rivals perfectly. The pursuit music brings an intense feel when you are being chased by cops driving hypercars such as the Agera or the Veyron SS. Most Wanted had a nostalgic pursuit music before Rivals came out. And when you listened to Rivals' pursuit music, you are toast because the cops have the same rubberbanding AI as yours. For drift physics, I absolutely loved it. Compared to The Run, it was very off because the drifting in that game, sucked. Literally. Rivals nailed it because when you drift, your speed doesn't decrease, while in The Run, it is very off and annoying, it literally slows you down instantly and lose the race. The weapons return from Hot Pursuit 2010 but it's more buffed than ever. Shockwaves are more OP in this game, including the ESF and Turbo. Don't mess with these pursuit techs because they are very badass-looking and those 3 will definitely smoke you. Earning SP is really easy here. If you get 500,000 SP, you basically do the same thing in order to upgrade your car to the max. The cars are really fast except for the beginners, so bring a Huayra, P1, Veneno, or a Ferrari Enzo in order to earn more SP and to win races. And last but not least, the soundtrack of Rivals. I love how they included EDM and popular songs in here. One example here is the legendary rock band who we idolize, known as Linkin Park. They really put Castle of Glass in the game, and it's remixed by the legend, Mike Shinoda. For the famous British band Bastille, the song Pompeii is in there but it's a remix by Kat Krazy. In EDM songs in Rivals, most artists are popular here. For example, Garmiani's track Rumble is a Big Room House track. He is known for his single Bomb A Drop, which he gained popularity. Another one is Knife Party, the 2 members of the band Pendulum, consisting of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen. The song EDM Death Machine appears in there. Then, we have Minerals by Congorock & Nom De Strip, which is also a Big Room House track, it got featured in the supernatural horror TV series, Teen Wolf. For me, Rivals will be the best game alongside Most Wanted and Carbon.

I know it isn't the most fondly remembered, but for me that was the first serious game me and my dad played on our family desk top when I was a kid, and it was fantastic. The graphics, the car customization at the time, the general feel of the cars and game ecosystem. It was also the first game that really had customization, with how it let you pick your own car number. They nailed that game as much as you could nail a game at the time. The only knock is that the game is one-make, but the quality was super high.

I still play the original NFSMW and Underground 2 to this day. I build custom PCs and have around $4,,000 into my own (that's pre-pandemic prices). I always get a laugh out of whoever when they ask what games do I play on it.
The only reason my favourite NFS game is NFS Carbon is because that's the only one I played (and I didn't even complete the tutorial due to my child stupidity at that time). Now I can't play it, because my PS2 is sold (the only remaining thing is the box with the disk and instruction) and I have to get the PC version if I want to play it. I played it I believe in 2011 or 2012.
i got my start on NFS High Stakes and it shoulda been ranked higher especailly with all tha mods u could do and tha fact all NFS3 tracks are Unlockable on NFS High Stakes PC version NOT DLCs, UNLOCKABLES, with tha exception of NFS World, no other NFS game has a 2 NFS games mixed in 1 since then oh and it bugs me how even tha 1st NFS game has a 1st Person POV cockpit view and not tha latest NFS game really says alot here
I think people overreacted a little when the run came to the public i enjoyed it a lot especially the wii version which is what i got during my years in middle school

I just want to say that NFS Heat is definitely the best modern NFS game and in my opinion it can even rival the best games in the series like Underground 1 and 2 and Most Wanted. Of course the soundtrack is nowhere near as good as other games but there are a few songs that I enjoy. And well... that's that.
Only thing I dislike about most wanted 05 is they took away most jdm cars.I mean what's the point of taking away skyline,350z,infinity g355 if you have to put them back again in carbon and the later games
