@@jimwortham8634 On a basic AT you have like 18.8 if i remember good and on AT adventure sports (not sure we call it that way in EN), this is 24.8 ! You can do like 500 kilometers (don't know in miles). Ofc it depends on which mods you are to drive and how you drive. But you can do 450 easy with it.

Hi. I am a great Motogeo fan. Just a small thing I picked up; the scenes changes very quick. I can understand that you want to pack lots of info into a limited amount of time for this video but it makes everything feel very rushed. Did you use the stock seat? How was it? Me and 3 buddies took out supermotos,(i was on a KTM 690 SMC) up thr PCH from LA to San Fransico and back, 1100 miles. My butt was raw every day! I even got a gel pad in san fran but and it helped some but on the way back down riding 400 miles in 1 day my butt was still killing me. I had a ton of fun and Going from Sport bike to supermoto the idea of a more comfy bike and longer trips really peaks my interest.

Hi Jamie, Your trip videos are always the best. Love the enthusiasm and excitement.
How do you plan out where to stop, specifically for food. It seems impossible that you just randomly stop at all these awesome looking restaurants, and obviously you must plan in advance to a certain degree. Are you just going on experience, local suggestions, or yelp?

Quit watching after 4 minutes because saw no commentary of the Honda Africa Twin. More interested in the bike's performance than the food and local events.

Thanks for this link in the comments. Mentioning this at the video's beginning might have decreased the thumbs down ratio. Luckily for me I watched the video all the way through this time and participated in the comments.I removed my thumbs down and I'm giving you a thumbs up and subscribing.

You've got plenty of reviews for that. But like... I guess the fact that the bike's reliable for such a big trip proves on it's own to be a good fit. Why don't you go to a local store and try it out? xD

Then what you want is a REVIEW. I’m sure you already knew that though. I think the videos are just what I want to see! Reviews are a dime a dozen, and are useless to me as I make my own opinions on bikes/anything I buy.

Epic man! I'm from Vancouver and ride that road north of Whistler all the time (Duffy Lake Road, where you chilled on the logs in the lake). You had the right bike for it, my Aprilia Dorsoduro wouldn't make those long road between gas stations! Fantastic mate... bloody fantastic!

Thanks MotoGeo for keeping the adventure alive. Here's hoping that Touratech can come up with a Washington to Alaska - African Twin package that includes a integrated gas tank carrier? Nice Job Jamie!

Just buy the AT Adventure Sports model with the larger tank. Forget the hassle of extra tanks.

Awesome work Jamie! I've got a similar trip planned from the east coast through Alaska in a few years. We did Newfoundland this past June which was excellent. If you get a chance to head that way the Fish and Chips are amazing!

I have seen the Salmon Glacier. Years ago my son and I were in Hyder looking for a place to camp. We followed a sign pointing to the Grand Duc Mine. At one point we came around a bend and one of the most spectacular views I have seen, the Salmon Glacier, was spread out before us. We didn't even know it was there. Great trip, it takes some guts riding a motorcycle up the Cassiar Highway.

I rode the Stewart-Cassier/Alaska HWy in 2015 and can't believe how many issues you had with gas. The only time I had to fill up not at a station was when I tried to go from Whitehorse to Junction 37 and came up 10 miles short. That was on a 2011 Vstrom.

Here's an idea to avoid spillage when gassing up; put the nozzle slightly inside the tank instead of 5 cm above it. Works for Jerry cans too.

As someone whose rides in Alaska, I highly recommend you go north next time! Go to deadhorse! It is on the north coast and is the ultimate destination for adventure bike guys. The highway it self is mostly dirt/mud/gravel but you can’t ride further north than that in the US maybe even North America (unless you can ride to Alert, Canada 🤣)
