I believe this will also fit the Mk2 Tiguan. I have a steering wheel off an actual MK7 Golf and it was a direct plug and play. I lost the heat function BUT gained paddle shifters which required NO CODING.

Any concerns about the carbon breaking/splintering an accident? Assumimg the OEM wheel was designed to deform in some "safe" way.

How are you suppose to turn the steering wheel after disconnecting the battery? First is turning the wheel, and after the airbag is popped u turn off the battery and continue taking off the airbag after waiting 10 minutes for the battery to fully discharge.

Hi. How do you do this on models with keyless ignition? Obviously with the battery disconnected the steering lock will stay on.

I know your comment is a year old, but from what I gathered from the shopdap video, just turn the wheel then disconnect the battery. Would have to do everything sideways from there though lol. He didn't directly address this as his was key ignition. I'm sure there's a better answer on the web.
