I know you're joking, but do people actually say that as a joke? I swear I haven't seen it, and it's a bit too far on the unrelatable for me, so I gotta ask....have you been to college...? They have a zero tolerance policy for plagiarism, it's really really serious. I mean, it's the only way it can be, but seriously, colleges don't take anything more seriously than copying and pasting. You will fail immediately and can be kicked out. It's fundamental and really the only thing they care about, besides your money. 😂 Those are the two things all my colleges had in common, from shitty community college to honors state school to private.
Now there are even databases online to which you submit your paper and it compares your text to all available texts/resources, it lines up all quotes, etc. Even when it's not word for word, it'll outline it.

That's the most irritating thing: they make hundred of millions each year, develop a new engine! There are "indie" studios that developed their own engine ! With that kind of money you could have an entire division just doing that. It's ridiculous. It's like gamefreak saying that they cannot add older gens to sword and shield because it's too expensive/time consuming when there are modders that do that by themselves as an hobby.

Cause there's a good chance if you play the game version it has excessive monetization and little care about the actual game and way more thought and money put into the microtransactions and the systems to keep percentage of actually getting a good loot box at like 1 percent so if your someone who gets a rush of sorts from actually winning something then that shit will kill your bank account fast! Microtransactions need only be in online games like MMOs and only be cosmetic not some bullshit in a sports game! EA is the worse company and they along with Microsoft are the reason we even have microtransactions plaguing the gaming world! I have been on a 4 year purchase cycle with madden to make up for lack of innovation and I can tell you the differences between madden 16 is minuscule compared to madden 20. They just add more flashy shit to mut like “cooler pack openings” and “migos” or “Snoop Dogg”
You know they're desperate when they promote "user controlled celebrations" as a selling point for the game.

I remember playing a Madden game once. It had a halftime show with cheerleaders and a franchise mode where you could be a team owner and set everything from prices for tickets and food to merch, hire coaches and players... man it was fun.
Pretty sure that was on my PS2.

I love how, on the website for the game, the ONLY section that has a "learn more" button is the Ultimate Team section. Everything else? They've got nothing to talk about. The more they talk, the more they risk people figuring out that there's nothing new there. They remain as vague as they can get away with so people don't think about it too much.

Not like there’s much room to innovate in a sports game after a certain point because in the end it still has to be a soccer or football game. Tbh I think sport games should go the subscription model of like 5 a month to just get updated rosters.

The problem with these sports games are the lack of 'improvements' in their game mechanics and systems, improving and extending certain modes in the games, improving animations etc etc.
I copied the full list of improvements and issues indicated by UnboxedTechPro. These improvements could drastically improve the Madden games, and some of the mentioned issues have been neglected for years.

There is even more, like the franchise mode is so bare-boned it could drastically be improved with more features and immersion. For example, add some off-field stuff and mechanics or add some kind of interactions with teammates and or staff-members. I remember one of the older International SuperStar Soccer games for the N64, which had a career mode allowing the player to do stuff off the field like roaming the city. It made the mode so lively and immersive. There is so much room for improvements, but they just don't care. The same could be said for games like FIFA, PES & NBA2K.

NBA 2k is head and shoulders above others sports game. But, it still bad compare to older 2k like 2k16. Madden and Fifa hadn't been good for more than a decade.

I bought Madden 19 when it was like 5$ and it was literally the same game as Madden 17 (the last one I bought before that) except for Ultimate Team of course. Animations haven't changed since Madden 13. It's just crazy to me that people still spend 60$ on this. For what??
Same thing with fifa .. played fifa since Sega genesis and in 2010 said fuck it ... Tried PES it was so refreshing to have random Goals that you dont automatically see coming like in fifa and Obviously I bought like fifa 19 on sale to see if anything have changed and nope but wow they added 2 cut scenes into manager mod next year in fifa 20 they Kept same cut scenes and just changed the background and meanwhile pes added 5x more cut scenes in ONE game then FIFA did in 2 or sorry 1/2 cut scene games and updating the game through out it life cycle Down to players new hair styles ...I mean they have problems too but Still dont understand how people defend FIFA AND MADDEN at this point

Spaghetti Man when i think about it, I don’t think there has ever been an overhaul in EA’s history as a games publisher. Their sequels have never massive improved any aspect of the predecessor. They’re somehow one of the most profitable games companies but they put in half the effort. Battlefield, Madden. FIFA, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, NHL, NBA Live, Plants vs. Zombies, Simcity, Sims, and the list goes on. The sequels either add small things, remove features, or dumb down/streamline everything.

Jimmy James It's the ultimate team (pay-to-win) crap that makes everyone buy these EA sports games every year. The majority of the player base switches to the latest game, leaving the servers for the previous game dead, so you kind of have to get the new game to play the competitive mode. I personally used to buy FIFA almost every year, but then I grew sick and tired of it cos it's the same generic shit recycled over and over again. Atm I'm not buying FIFA games. There are other game genres I rather spend my time on.
unfortunately that too happens a lot here in my country, but instead of Madden, It is with Fifa. Most of my friends have a Ps4, and It is so sad to see that their entire game library is just Fifa games....they are missing out so much. 70€ every year for a fucking update to the teams...
I remember the NCAA college football game that you could do home team advantage, crowd noise to shake the stadium during kickoffs and extra points.
NCAA Football 14 is actually the only Football I still play. I stopped buying Madden in 08 based off everything Joe is saying. It hurts my heart but hopefully one day everyone else will get the picture and stop buying this trash so they'll make a better game

I haven't bought a madden in 3 years, it actually kills me cause I love football and want to play it, but the only thing I can do to potentially help EA get the message is to NOT buy the game. I suggest everybody do the same.
If you're on PC, just download a roster update mod, and boom. Madden 2020 becomes Madden 2021.

But I enjoy watching guys like Joe and Jim Sterling, because game companies are really screwing up, and we gamers have a lot of responsibility, i.e. we keep buying the same game year after year, and we support microtransactions, loot boxes and all that crap. If we don't reject such practices, companies will continue to have them and milk our money.

We need the players to speak out, it’s embarrassing how they shill for this game that has a monopoly and gets crazy promotion.
They disconnect servers every year. So you have to keep buying the new games. It's bad because everyone hates it. But no says anything anything about it.
its really not their fault, 95% of the industry would never deny money. its embarrassing that people are buying these games. You can never blame the supplier, because if the demand wasnt there they wouldn't supply it.
