Just a quick one mate I’ve got the 2008 model 520D N47 MSport that comes with the small iDrive screen which is completely pants if you ask me! can you plug & play if you fit an 8” screen or do you need the DVD module to go with screen?
You need complete Idrive system then it needs coding in mate

Update;
Just installed mine. Mine slightly lower or further back on boot and end sits well with curve. However slight gap at front. Wonder if water will get under from front.??
Otherwise looks perfect
Put on roof spoiler too which is easier to do and looks good
