How they manage to break the game every time a major update rolls out is honestly impressive. It's like each update is made by an entirely different team on an outdated version of the game.
F4U-1 statcards got adjusted (check the US ones, now they are correct) and somehow the devs made an error while making the british one, but the flight model is the same. It seems that the statcard speed is linked to the airspawn speed and this plus the invulnerability of airspawn makes it so it doesnt rip, This was already fixed.
Guys pls it's historical the British modified Corsair was used in 1943 against Germans and could exceed speed of Mach 2, Germans called it the "Vaterficker“
props to its airframe for handling it though, probably 1 on of a handful of 2.7s with an airframe strong enough to not disintegrate from air friction XD
truly the finest of British WW2 engineering. I remember reading about how Erich Hartmann was finally shoot down by Keith and Barry of the Fleet Air Arm in their supersonic corsairs in 1945 over Berlin.
These British corsairs have a pattern pending flapping feature which increases lift. In fact, reports say that the fleet air arm uses this feature to revenge bomb during the second world war with immense success (Source: Wing Commander Nigel Stirling)
A cocktail of Yorkshire tea and gin was added to the fuel mixture to get those sonic booms in a Bri’ish Corsair. Churchill himself came up with this idea after his 2nd bottle of daily scotch self-medication
Gaijin will never NOT completely break and worsen the game with each update they drop because if they were to launch a flawless update with no bugs they would have to use so much brain power (20 mins of programming) that they would get a brain aneurysm for thinking too much.
I'd imagine every time they merge they keep merging an older version which keeps causing it. ie the patch they fixed the 163 crashing on takeoff (very realistic might I add), and the 2 days after that they updated the game with something (I think it was the next major update) and the problem was there again.

You could do some crazy trolling especially with access to reverse thrust mid flight…

The biggest insanity of this bug is, while they put the max speed at 2480KM/H, the breaking point is still at 800KM/h (the reason why the Corsair "flaps" its wings at the beginning before the speed became more tolerable). Truly a Gaijin moment !
Damn so with just a change in the file they can make a prop plane act like a supersonic jet, now i understand why some vehicle worsen after every update especially in the French tech tree...
