    If you’re searching the comments wondering how does taking 91° from 27° = 36° 🤔
    Just keeping you on your toes 😉
    I meant to say: 91° from 127° = 36° of Discharge superheat
    Remember: Discharge pipe temp - Condenser Temp (Tc) = Discharge Superheat
    Suction pipe temp - Evap Temp (Te) = Suction superheat

    Excellent video. What is the eev’s default position, say when the head has been removed? Thank you

    • @quentinbutlerhvac5410
      @quentinbutlerhvac5410 Před rokem

      Almost all indoor units utilize a bolt-on style valve driver motor. The valve will go 100% open with the driver motor removed.
      If the EEV has a slip-on (coil) style driver, the valve will remain in whatever position it was in before the coil was removed.

      @@quentinbutlerhvac5410 thank you,it makes more sense to me now.
      What about if you disconnect the LEV plug from the PCB (or cut the power to the system), will the valve body stay in the same position? Is the outcome different depending on whether the LEV is bolt on or clip on?

      @quentinbutlerhvac5410 Před rokem +1

      @@LC-qi5ff Another great question! If you power down the system or unplug the EEV, the valve will remain in its last position due to the construction of the valve.
      We will make a video on the internals of the EEVs used on VRV to provide additional clarity.
      Thanks for watching!

      @@MechanicalPros do you have a service checker file that you recorded where it shows a stuck 4 way valve or faulty main EEV on the outdoor unit?

    Another way to check for bleed by is to put the system in forced operation, all indoor fan coils except 1 or 2 in fan mode. Put the 1 or 2 in cooling. Then watch the indoor fan coils, if you get a temp drop across those fan only eevs your bleeding by. We see this alot- probably dirty install

    Hi sir I hav daikin vrv 4 but I have to change only fcu . So how to test run please pm me

    • @quentinbutlerhvac5410
      @quentinbutlerhvac5410 Před rokem

      If you’re only replacing a FCU, you don’t need to run a test, but you should conduct a system recount.
      To conduct the system recount, press and hold the return button at the master outdoor unit for 5 seconds - 3 small squares should populate on the 7 segment LCD display during the system recount.
      If the existing FCU that is being replaced had a Group Address and/ or an Airnet address, input those addresses into the new indoor unit.
