The Yamaha PSR-EW410 is musical FREEDOM!

  • There are so many directions you can take with the PSR-EW410. It has 76 keys which can also be set up as a sampler, operating 7 different samples up to 9 seconds each. There's a big set of sounds made almost limitless by the effects section, editable envelopes, and dynamic controls. It's not without it drawbacks, but for its price the PSR-EW410 gives generously!

    Musicians/producers who always had access to expensive gear won't notice, but I think it's really, really nice how musicians these days can have so many options within reach for so little money (compared to the 80's and 90's). Heck, back in '85 or so, for example, the only home keyboard with sampling was the Casio SK-1. Compare that, as cool as it is for a toy, to the PSR-EW410, which has sampling PLUS a bunch of other cool options and sounds. Amazing. I feel glad that being able to create great music with lots of options these days is pretty much accessible for most people.
    PS.: It also looks incredible when you compare the current PSR line to the 80's PSR keyboards. Take the first PSR, PSR-70, and compare to this. Wow.

      Cman yes I think he really knows what we wanna hear and he play it and samples it for us, instead of like most of the people that demo, just show-off their talent in playing, which is not the worst thing but dam do a sample in layering different sounds like drums, base, guitar this makes us wanna buy this keyboard

    all Yammie have to do is put a mod, wheel, portamento, octave and transpose buttons, 16 pads for pattern sequencing, a simple 4 operator FM synth, 100 user tones, 100 user rythmns, 100 user samples and you have a board that will sell in the thousands. However you can bet they won't do it

      @gearfacts  Před 4 lety +1

      If my hobby kicks off, I'll get the Yamaha E363 in like 8 months to a year. I don't really need the sampling of E463, I think. Plus if the keys aren't that important, then there is no point for EW410 as a beginner for me.
      Thank you so much for the informative videos! Saved me a lot of money by helping me get enough information and making the right choice. If worse comes to worse, at least it would be like $150 down the toilet instead of $400!

      After downloading the manual and checking forums, I've had a big change of heart with the keyboard.
      I want to like this keyboard, but until Yamaha can fix their ridiculous midi standards for PSR keyboards, I'll never buy one. My earliest Casio keyboards all torched the PSR E463 and EW410 for midi applications. I owned those keyboards over 25 years ago. The PSR E463/EW410 sound great, but calling them 16 channel in/16 channel out midi keyboards is a deception from Yamaha's marketing department. The PSR E463/EW410 are ok as toys for doodling, but serious midi programmers/sequencers will be very disappointed. And all of the portable apps are for IOS?!!!!! What about Android?!!!!!!
