  • Hibiscus tea benefits are from antioxidants like anthocyanins and betacyanins, compounds that give the tea a red-crimson color. Hibiscus flower power comes from the calyx that develops after the blossoming stage.
    Hibiscus tea can be a delicious tangy hot beverage or a thirst-quenching cold drink, but this infused liquid also offers many benefits to the body when incorporated into one's daily herbal tea regime. Find out more about what drinking it can do for your body.

    This was the first thing I tried to get my blood pressure down when I was heavy, a few cups a day got it from systolic 150s to 120s after a few weeks, then my weight loss journey has made it easy to maintain 90-115ish, it’s amazing! I make cold brew hibiscus tea with cold brew decaf green tea in a gallon with 4oz of each leaves & filtered tap for 24hr then filter, using a cup a day mixed with 24oz carbonated water & sea salt & cream of tarter (potassium) for electrolytes. Amazing video, I can anecdotally attest to its efficacy and cold brewing makes it smoother & less acidic similar to cold brew coffee, & cold brew is super simple.

    Hibiscus is a flower with open petals. Sorrel is different and does have seeds in the flower buds,and do not open its petals as wide as the hibiscus.take a look at both of them and you will see the difference.

The health benefits spoken of in this video is why I wanted to grow it. I don't do pharmakia. Anyway, is this an A.I. channel or a real person?? I hope it's a real person.

      @@Sophisticated8 It loves heat and humidity. I just know it grows well here. Also, another name some call it is Jamaican Sorrel. So I guess it grows well in Jamaica?? If you have a greenhouse I'm sure you could go a zone lower if possible. I'm in zone 7b. It doesn't over winter here. Especially not with winters last year. I'm in West TN. It got down to minus 4 here and killed A LOT. Lots of trees and bushes in landscaping also. It killed all my herbs. I had to start over this year.

    Did anybody hear anything about aluminium content in hibiscus?
    I remember stumbling on something about it, but I'm not 100% on that.

    • @theIAMofME
      @theIAMofME Před 9 měsíci +2

      Oh no! Please don't tell me that. LOL I have never heard this. IF there is aluminium in it there is a possibility it could be because of a certain something they do to our skies. That "activity" is causing soil tests to show high aluminum levels.

    • @Apollo440
      @Apollo440 Před 9 měsíci

      @@theIAMofME you can counter the effects of aluminium with the microelement silica. It's very bio available from green peas. It's also in husks of oats. If you find those - soak them in water overnight and drink that. You can repeat it with the same oats 2-3 times at least. This water is very good for you and you can cook or stew in it too!
      I've googled:
      Nutritionfacts Dr. Greger says, you need to drink less than a quart of hibiscus a day (which is a lot to be frank) in order not to get too much aluminium.
      Mind you, some plants just accumulate more minerals or even metals than others, without the engineering or spraying of anything from above.

    • @Apollo440
      @Apollo440 Před 9 měsíci +4

      wine has been found not benefitial, as opposed to grape juice, just because it has alcohol added. You can add alcohol to cooking to "elevate" your dishes taste, or to drinks... But then it's just feeding addiction and undermining health. And I think the author of this channel is all about health :)

      Carbonated water does not have oxygen it has carbon dioxide ( bubbles) and turns into carbonic acid in the body which is not as good for you! No extra oxygen! And acid that hurts your bodies PH and other issues. That’s why most soda is very bad for people besides the sugar… 🤓

    • @Apollo440
      @Apollo440 Před 9 měsíci +4

      I don't think that carbonated water is carbonated with oxygen. According to google, it's carbonated with carbon dioxide. For more oxygen in the blood, you can add a drop (up to 10 drops a day) of 3% (3% not 30%!) hydrogen peroxide into clear, cold water (not tea!) and drink it on an empty stomache (that is at least 1.5 hours after eating, more if it was a heavy meal). There was a book by an american author on that.
