- I explore a Costco for the first time in Taiwan. The wholesaler is popular around the world, and I wanted to see the differences between the United States and Taiwan locations. It was a very similar shopping experience, with an almost identical layout to the US. However, there are several differences and many products geared to a Taiwanese population.

This was simply amazing to me when I arrived there. The hotdog soda combo cost only $50-TWD (still only $1.50-USD). My souse is from the Philippines and Costco has yet to operate there, so I wonder if they have any future plans to expand there. It certainly would be a hit just like everywhere else they do business. 😇

Wow, they really maximized their space with two floors! Did you see if they have a gas station there also? The Costco in my area sells imported pineapple cakes from Taiwan for Chinese New Year, and they also carry other various Asian food items. 😃 It's cool to see the setup is similar to the warehouses in the states and of course the free food samples! 😎 Thank you for sharing this Costco tour in Taiwan, AK! 🤗

Costco in Taiwan looks like it has more than US stores. Especially in the food and produce section. Amazing. Only thing about going to Costco in Taiwan is that it requires a car to bring all that stuff home. Hard to do on a motor bike or scooter, or even on the MRT or by cab. Is Costco only for the well-to-do? Most people still live in smaller homes, with smaller refrigerators, so local "wet markets" may still be the choice for many.
