Why use that janky inertia switch for the "active" aero. Just tie it into the brake light signal? It seems like the response isn't going to really be appropriate anyway so why not have the flex of being able to tilt the spoiler in park?
Not to mention that Miata will very rarely be at high enough speeds for that aero/air brake to make any difference. And even if it did, its literally mounted to the trunk lid, & will just press the trunk down on its latch before creating any actual downforce lol
But im guessing they wouldnt want to wire it to the brake signal cause then in traffic it will constantly be flapping around. It would have to be properly tuned to only activate past 50-60mph or so
@@flexinclouds true. It just seems like a cool feature that nobody will ever see unless they are behind him at speed. I would think the Holley could use parameters of wheels speed and input signal from the pedal to determine when to flip it.

The fact that these guys are able to just bang such a massive project out last minute in a garage full of the pinnacle of super & hypercars is the reason why I keep coming back to this channel. Starting to see why Mark left DDE & the guys parted ways.
DDE was way more of a production and probably felt more like a 9-5 job compared to Dean's vibe as just friends hanging out who film the shit. I will forever respect Deans character for how real he is and laid back at the same time

He had all the time in the world to get it done and he choses to build it a week before the show. He better be paying those guys big money because they deserve every penny of it.
