Let it be known that Khungary was and is part of the Turkish brotherhood of nations. Problem is because of many hundred of years of conflicts and migrations Hungary today is a mixture of people nevertheless Turkey needs to always maintain a strong relationship with the Hungarians to maintain the culture that Atilla the Khan brought to this part of the world with him from the East.

It's very interesting, because i'm Hungarian and i didn't know that my ancestors were "a part of Turkish brotherhood of nations". Neither i am part of.
The reason is very simple: nor my ancestors weren't part of, neither i am.
Because we are - simply - Hungarians as we always were.
Oh yes, as a half-nomadic equestrian people we were living for centuries in the neighborhood of turkic (and not turkISH) people on the Eurasian steppe, shared the way of living and the worldview, moreover our leaders before 1.000 AD spoke a kind of turkic language as a second (there are a lot of our ancient leaders have names of turkic origin).
And yes, there are a lot of turkic people settled into in our country, like Alans, Pechenegs and in the end the Cumans. And all of them were absorbed into the Hungarian people, since they took over the language, the traditions, the history - the Hungarian national identity.
"Hungary today is a mixture of people"
      1. Well, from broader point of view, ALL the people are a mixture of people, because the history is going on. Sure, Turkiye is an exception, of course, because Kurds aren't exist, as we all know... (from Erdogan)
      2. We are "mixture of people" (but with quite homogenous national identity), because the Muslim TurkISH (and this time not TurkIC) people made a 150 years long "visit" in Hungary so we've got a first hand experience the "blessings" of the so-called "Religion of Peace". Meanwhile, some mysterious ways, 70% of the Hungarian people were exterminated. What the heck happened, we don't know... But in the end, we are still here and turkISH people aren't (except a few thousand kebabmaker - but this is a number of the TurkISH people can be tolerated in Hungarian soil.)
BTW, as for Attila something is for sure: he's a part of Hungarian legendary and traditions, but in his heritage one thing definitely doesn't exist, what TurkISH people are following - the way of Muhammad, you know.

we were on holiday in turkey long time ago, had car troubles they were absolutely fantastic and kept telling us in broken english we are brother and sister and they learn this in school.... and we just looked at them with big eyes - what are y'all talking about? haha
even the turkish guy next to our hotel spoke very well hungarian (but i assume that was because many turkish ppl came to hungary in the 80s-90s)
anyway turkish ppl are very very nice in general, i wish them nothing but the best

excuse me, but contemplating about accesion of turkey to the EU is off the charts today due to multiple of reasons many derived from style of governance of erdogan, his speech, threats verbal and militaristic against rest of europe, not just greece, that you may think is just okay. Other issues like amount of journalists and others in prisons, crackdown on free media, erdogan crowning himself a new caliph of caliphate ready for territorial expansion wherever, to syria, or greece... and list of issues goes on and on...

Turkey won’t join the EU for a long long time! The EU has grown consistently anti-immigrant and Turkish people will indeed migrate as free legitimate labour which no doubt burdens the local populations in other countries. The inclusion of Bulgaria and Romania resulted in Brexit so the inclusion of Turkey will result in a “Germaxit” because 2.7 million Turkish live in Germany already and no doubt other young Turks would want to go there to live amongst clusters.

Peter Szijjártó, when you were asked by a romanian journalist in that interview in Bucharest, "How are you with the freedom of the press?", you were evasive and accusative. You started to say "it's all fake news and it's not honest, it's not fair", "it's all lies" etc. Well, what is fair? to rule as you wish, without everybody see what're doing? We are not fools. Maybe hungarians agree with you, but we are not fools. Our premier, our ministers and parties are criticised by mass media too, but at least they do not mitigate the importance of the mass media. They actually listen to the mass media. you have the attitude of a dictator!! You are wrong!

Don't talk about things you don't know! His answer was not evasive. It's just simply not true that there is dictatorship in Hungary. You say yourself that the Hungarian government faces criticism from mass media. That would not be possible in a dictatorship!
