Indeed. I thought that this would be important information to share. 35% of all ocean microplastics come from clothing/textiles, mostly polyester, but also acrylic and nylon as well. Just to give you a plot summary:
Decades ago Nick Fury promised to help Skrulls find a new home in exchange for their service, but after realizing he can never find a home for them, he stays quiet and kept using them as lapdogs. After the Blip, Nick Fury just abandoned them and hide in space, only came back after a young Skrull started a rebellion. After getting 2 of his best friends killed because he sucks at his job, someone else took out the rebellion leader for him, but the whole event started an all out race war towards the Skrulls. However, instead of trying to fix that or stop it, Nick Fury once again abandon everyone and hide back to his space with his wife, leaving all Skrulls on Earth to fend for themselves

Though I will add for the ending that Nick Fury, while he does go off planet again, he decides to be an emissary for the Skrulls as the Kree opened up peace talks. Unfortunately the skrulls on earth are still being hunted because the US President basically outed the whole conspiracy and called for people to kill suspected skrulls on site.

I love when Marvel leans onto these serious matter, the gritty action sequences, the politics within the MCU. That's why for me Winter Soldier and Civil War were so different than the rest. And hopefully Fury doesn't die.

@@Maxxximilian90 Does it? Because I only see the two writers who wrote the first seasons are the ones doing season 2. Not that they're great or anything, but at least were competent enough to make a weekly show that's actually watchable and fun, and where episodes actually felt like real episodes and not 30-minute episodes of absolute nothingness.

yeah looking back on this trailer there is so much missed opportunity in the show. The whole idea of this being fury's last fight doesn't really go anywhere and they make it seem like there's going to be a lot more espionage.
Literally like i was so hyped about Nicky fury because C'MON IS FRICKIN NICK FURY!! Gravik is probably my most favorite villain out of all but I was so upset at how easily he died like seeing how he is, its like huh? Nothing adds up like yes some scenes were dark and good but they should've taken their time and I want a season 2.
@@jomol4598 I heard that in the comics there was constant tension because they didn’t just tell you who were and were not skrulls which I felt would’ve helped massively. I never really felt any tension during the show as they were pretty quick to spill the thea, and not just for who’s skrull but also character deaths. Remember G’iah dying and then returning the next episode? Her ‘immortality’ also didn’t sit right with me.
I don’t think Marvel will start to recognize that their shows are failing due to bad writing, they’ll probably pass it off as a fail (so no s2) and carry on to release the next disaster on the assembly line.

I know we are in the celestial/multiverse phase of marvel now but this just feels like coming home. The ground/street level stories of marvel during captain america and the infinity saga were perfection

This is one of the better trailers we have gotten for a recent MCU project, I’m really intrigued to see where this show goes and I hope it gets the time it needs.
Which isn’t saying much. This was made with AI… which for a trailer is super easy because you just need to tease random parts of the movie using portions that have already been shot… meanwhile the companies trying to screw writers out of a living are laughing their way to the bank.

G’iah is not dead. There are scenes in this trailer with her in them that we haven’t seen in the show yet.

Im pretty sure they have all the rights they need and want. Avengers actors are just that much more expensive + require a lot more cgi in every scene. Rights have literally nothing to do with it. This brings back some serious Winter Soldier vibes, hope it meets up to those high Winter soldier standards. The MCU seriously needs that.
The reason it is giving you Winter Soldier vibes is because this trailer reveals that the MCU version of Secret Invasion is taking some influence from the same comic that inspired The Winter Soldier: Secret Warriors by Jonathan Hickman. This isn't surprising, given that Nick Fury is the main character of their adaptation of Secret Invasion, which is a clue that they are focusing specifically on the Nick Fury storyline from the Secret Invasion comic, rather than adapting the whole event (and hence it not being a big movie full of tons of big characters like Civil War was). The whole point of Nick Fury's storyline in Secret Invasion was to set up a comic that began immediately after it. That comic was Secret Warriors, which explains the influence we see here - for example the scene in the restaurant where lots of people are revealed to be agents of some kind, and not regular diners. That happened in Secret Warriors too. And the quick shot near the end with the group of people behind the guy who shoots his arm out, that guy and the others might be the MCU version of the Caterpillars, the clandestine superhero team working for Fury in Secret Warriors (they're called that because they are young and Fury's mentorship and training will make them into butterflies, as the metaphor goes).

Why is everyone saying this? The show isn't even out yet. They could be purposefully showing the dark side just for the show to have a little bit of dark but most of it will be nick fury twerking and introducing 10 other projects. What the MCU really needs right now is to slow the hell down. Most of their recent projects are terrible. They should stop and rethink about some of these shows and movies because most of the time they aren't shows or movies that need to be made but are just made for money.

That was the tone I was expecting with Black Widow, I hope Secret Invasion has the same tone as Winter Soldier. Serious, Gritty but the MCU heart is still there.
It's not the first time when MCU is doing this. Captain America: the Winter Soldier plus crossover episodes with Agents of Shield already did that (1x16 and 1x17) or their Secret Warriors episode from 3x17.

If this is as serious of a show as it's marketed as, I think we're in for a great time. I hope the MCU going forward can bring us more serious projects such as this. We've seen Star Wars do it with Andor and that was awesome. I'm not giving up on the MCU just yet, this show gives me hope.
If it makes you feel better, Marvel is going to be putting out at most 2 series a year. This year is Secret Invasion and Loki season 2. Kevin Fiegie has said they are going to be focusing on quality over quantity going forward so things should be better.

What I love about the trailers so far is:
1) consistency in the dark tone that we seriously need back in the MCU
2) that the trailers really don’t tell us a lot but get us hooked.(this has been my problem with marvel trailers for a long time, they kinda spoil the whole movie)

"Where are the Avengers?"
This is what I love about the MCU. The fact that the people still rely on Earth's mightiest heroes to save them. And even though the Avengers are exhausted or have given up, they still find a way to save the people, just like how they travelled back in time to undust half the universe.
The MCU is not something I’m particularly thrilled about. Mainly because a LOT of the comic lore and wider Marvel universe is cut out especially for a turning point event like Secret Invasion.
In the comics Secret Invasion was an event that affected everyone on Earth, all factions currently known Hero, Villain, inbetween. Literally no one was safe. And knowing that MCU Earth doesn’t have Fantastic Four, X-Men, Doom, Magneto and his allies, Sinister Six, AIM, or even Masters of Evil is going to severely limit the audience impact of just how deep this whole thing goes.
@@mattyhowls Yeah, Secret Wars will be like that. But this isn't Secret Wars, this is Secret Invasion. Very different.
Presumably because it's expensive and logistically challenging to get all of the actors together for a TV show?
@@darlingtonokorie2474 They will not be able to bring in all those people in just a few years. With how things are now, the I doubt the MCU will reach the level of impact that Secret Wars did in the comics.
@@darlingtonokorie2474 Ah my mixup, but even so the point stands limited to only a sliver of Marvel’s universe will be defining factor in how well TV series Secret Invasion can be explored.
I had only three problems with this show:
1) it was too short
2) Maria hill being killed of in the very first episode
3) the finale
I agree with the finale and the fact that it was too short, so it should’ve been a movie about 2 and a half hours
I like the way the show ended (the skrulls being revealed to the public and causing chaos along with Fury leaving with his wife) but the way we got there was way too rushed. Also with a big event like this the show should have been the longest out of all of them. About 9-12 episodes. However had the finale had not been so rushed I wouldn’t have been so bothered.

Personally I think making it a show was the better decision as it gives us more time with the characters over a longer length of time where they don’t have to squeeze the whole story into a time frame of under three hours

Ocean Hero is a great search engine that we can use to help clean up larger plastics before they disintegrate into microplastics.

It's been 10 years of crap and crapper. I'd like to believe that disney is smh gonna get something right but nope.... I reached the max lvl of dissappointment with Multiverse of Madness so I'm sure 100% this is gonna be just another crap to get over the huge crap pile they've been making in the last 10 years or so!
