I really wish MsMojo would cover the Daytime Soap Operas more: Best Heroes/Villains, Iconic Love Triangles, Best Couples, Best Storylines, Best Actors, etc.
Sadly the last 4 are on they're on their death beds and won't be around much longer; but they were once a HUGE part of American culture and they deserve to have that fact honored and respected. Don't let the sometimes melodramatic storylines fool you: daytime actors are some of the best actors there are.

I have loved loved GH since 1980. It instantly became my favorite show. I would schedule my college classes around the show. Genie Francis remains my favorite actress too but Tom Hanks is my favorite actor. Great plots, wonderful performances and writing make GH an iconic soap unmatched by any other.
I've been watching General Hospital for many years since 1975, I was 12 years old. I love my General Hospital, I watch it every day. ❤ I get mad when it's interrupted, though.
How could they leave off Rick Springfield?
I think several of the seriously famous folks like Takei and Taylor asked to be on the show because they themselves were superfans ❤

I only started watching GH this past decade for the incredible Maura West. I grew up watching her on another soap opera, As The World Turns.
She was good as Carly,she is also great as Ava.
Wow, Meghan Markle really DID pop up everywhere in the 2000's and 2010's. I was surprised to see her as a FEDEX Delivery Girl in the beginning of "Horrible Bosses."
Oh wow I gotta rewatch that now. I didn't know who she was back then. I first discovered Meghan on Suits.
@@DateMike22 Ditto, Suits was her breakout role as an actress, and the one that got her plenty of attention, prior to marrying Harry.
@@DateMike22she’s really talented. Sadly Rachel stopped being written well after s2 of Suits and then she left right as a great storyline (her dad joining the firm) was about to start.
Hope she comes back to acting some day though I won’t hold my breath

I don't think she will be doing any more serious acting, now that she married into the royal family. I saw her in two romantic Hallmark movies. They were OK.
Oh do I miss watching GH!! Since I am a 90s kid, I don’t know most of the characters listed here. I watched GH between 2004-2010. But I definitely remember James Franco! I would go back to watching but I think I’d start off confused with old characters gone and new characters with new stories.
My foster sister was obsesssd with this show when i was a kid. Didn’t really quite understand the obsession though

I feel the same about the trio of _The Lord of the Rings_ movies. Considered by many to be among the most beloved films of the aughts and all time, I think they’re overrated and way too long, even without director Peter Jackson’s cuts of all three. I couldn’t even get into the novels or the original _The Hobbit_ book.

Thank u so much! My mom and I love general hospital .....I didnt start watching until james franco started so I wish I could find the rest of it....at least the luke and Laura stuff, the sonny stuff and the john Stamos era ( on and everything with robin, she was my favorite, I miss her :( )
Annie Wersching's first recurring TV gig was on GH in 2007. The late actress went on to star in 24.
My sister and I both watched GH in the 80s as teens. We each had _such_ a crush on John Stamos as Blackie, and were devastated when he went to prison. It was a sentence of 18 months (statutory r*pe of Lu Swenson, due to her age), and I told my sister, well that's only a year and a half, then he can come back, and he might get time off for good behavior. 😂 How naïve we were; I'm not sure if Blackie was mentioned much, if at all, on the show after 1984. Welp, that's how it was (is) with soaps; some characters either go away and are never heard of again, or they "miraculously" return from the dead.
Watched it faithfully until the mid 2000's. It was too mob and gangster for me. This was a nice blast from the past.
My mother loved General Hospital. We vaguely remember that Ice Princess storyline with I think it was Luke and Laura.

I loved GH in my early 20's. But alas, the german TV-Sender stopped sending this Show early. I don't know it really, but I think, it stopped here with the Wedding from Luke and Laura.
There were so many Scenes I've never watched...😕
