I always wanted to make a video about these two. fried green tomatoes is one of my favourite films and also one of my favourite books (I rewatch it and reread it religiously). finally had the time and the inspiration to make this. enjoy!
the way they look at each other... how can the straights think these two are just gal pals is beyond me. this film fooled the straights so good back in the 90s, i love it

This film is one of my comfort films! Despite it having flaws, it's still perfect to me. I love both the book and the film! The book is way way gayer but I think both are beautiful cos each possesses things the other doesn't have.
Idgie and Ruth having a baby, live together most of their life, Idgie saying "I'm as settled as I ever hope to be" and Ruth saying "She's the best friend I ever have and I love her".

I saw this movie at the theater when it first came out, first time with some friends then again with my mother. I have seen it a total of probably 35 times. This edit was beautiful and fantastic song choice. Thanks for helping bring back some really good memories. ❤️❤️❤️

i didn’t know Ivy was a Taylor Swift song and before I even started the vid I was thinking “a Taylor Swift song would go perfectly with Idgie and Ruth’s relationship” AND U PROCEED TO DO THAT WITH SUCH A BEAUTIFUL VIDEO!!! I loved this so much 😭❤️

I'm so happy you're back and posting. This is such a bittersweet vid, it just. Made me nostaglic about this movie, one that I loved as a kid and now that I'm older I realize why I loved it a lot more than I should. It's so tender, and even though the movie wasn't explicit in it's queerness, you can really feel the love between Idgie and Ruth when it's paired down to the the two of them. Taylor Swift doesn't hurt either, lol. It gave me a lot of feelings, and it doesn't surprise me how your vids just stir up those emotions. Well done!

I lvoed this movie so much, it's so special and yep, heteros are blind but we are not!! thanks for this masterpiece, I should edit them too soon, because they were everything!!!!!!!!!!!! this vid made me so happy, so so lovely edit, the voices, SO PERFECT! if u don't know it (book and movie) I recommend u Desert Hearts, quite same nostalgic/vintage vibe, my fav lesbian movie.
yes! there is a book and is even better than the movie. the relationship between idgie and ruth is more explicit in the book - they are a couple, no doubts - and it's quite different in some aspects. if you loved the film I highly recommend reading the book because there is just so much more in there. thanks for the recommendation! desert hearts has been on my list for years actually, and i think it's definitely time to watch it! (i love some good nostalgic/vintage vibes).
