The only other LIOG that I know of that can compete with this one is alpine valley night 1 2012. They did the same thing where they forgot to play the ending but I dont really care its all about the solo. Or the LIOG from live trax 7 even though its not a traditional solo (bella fleck guest plays banjoe) its still pretty sweet.
the boy just likes to have fun Ille tell you ..Ive played harp and he does a great job of the attack..there is a way to drag it on for the crowds favor though...just talking from experience ..but it takes expreience to do it right and hes great..modulate
Ya know, I can't really say if Boyd was out of tune or not, but I certainly was jiving on his solo and then after, I read the comments and they're over my head. idk. I don't think a bunch of talented musicians would be so bad as to be out of tune. Perhaps he's in tune and your face isn't! >:O
No, he's wildly out of tune. However, that doesn't make him bad, and it doesn't make the performance bad. Everyone has a bad day on stage at some point. EDIT** He looks like he's having a great day, btw, but he's definitely not in tune :P

I love Boyd and the whole band for that matter. DMB is by far my favorite band, but I have seen several videos of Boyd being out of tune. Check out Last Stop at Rocketplast from 98

You're absolutely right, he is out of tune. Especially at the beginning of his solo. He does this quite often. We're talking about a world class band here! Why do they let this happen? I'm sure nobody at the shows notice, but DMB is very big in the bootlegging community, and it sure as hell shows up there! I love what Boyd adds to the music usually, as long as he's in tune!
Yeah right mate - all those sound engineers, musicians, and lay people listening to the sound check and then the gig totally missed what you picked up on this single video clip. And yep they knew it sounded crap but still played on. What were they thinking it sounds horrid! Clearly they should be employing you as you have a one in a billion ear on you. I love the Dave Matthews band. I'm i violin player and it's just incredible to me that such a body builder is still 'playing' in such a band. He's technically at the same level of manny 5 years old players I know and always out of tune. But much worst is all this peple unable to realize he's not able to play !!!

attention tone deaf, or equivalent of - wax build up in the ear causes you not to hear correctly. i am sure one of the most electrifying, top tours in the last 15 years is out of tune. you need to watch dave matthews band : hello again part 5. and clean your ears
