- When government scientist Xavier Fitch intercepts a space transmission containing the genetic sequence for an alien life form, he uses it to produce "Sil" -- a gorgeous alien-human hybrid. As Fitch's team grows concerned at her rapid rate of growth, Sil wrecks the laboratory and begins a violent quest for a suitable male human to impregnate her. The U.S. government dispatches top assassin Preston Lennox and a team of experts to stop her.

Jeff Bezos hiring the off brand A-Team to kill a man-made alien is much more believable than someone renting a hotel room using a bunch of crumpled 1 dollar bills.
When u take an extra minute long bathroom break
Jeff bezos 😂
Never heard of strippers huh
Jeff Bezos was either a fetus or a little kid when this movie was made , and money went about 10 times further than . You used to be able to live better on a $3 an hour job then you can now on a $30 an hour job . If you were alive then then you would believe it .😂
In the good old days, the same motel room cost $25 or 30 not $75 to 100. A dollar candy bar was a .05 and folks could drive around on .20 a gallon gasoline.
Someone watched Aliens, and then saw the Facehugger scene, and something clearly awakened in them. Something along the lines of "That Xenomorph kinda bad, though." And then the Alien Queen showed up in Aliens, and it was over...
Eventually Rule 34 made its way in the events followed
@@Captain23rdGaming yep rule34 was like THAT'S IT!!!! *screams ff15 ignis voice*
The actual and simplest explanation is that surrealist and horror artist
H. R. Giger who created and designed Sil also created the original Alien for the 1979 Alien film.
I mean... The xenomorph is kinda thick... 😅😂

I remember the stupid AF stinger at the end almost ruining the entire movie for me. How did the rat mutate into that creature? I get that it ate parts of Sil's corpse, but the DNA sequences used to create Sil were *specifically* designed by the aliens to be merged with a human's -- it should not have worked with a rat. Plus Sil was her own unique being, and not "contagious". The stinger made no sense whatsoever. Even though the sequels were awful, at the very least they ignored the dumb mutant rat.
aliens are liars, duh
They did not they put it in stranger things
They probably lied to humans and the genetic instructions were just a powerful bioweapon after all.
@Shane Plyler Nah, let it be.
secret alien : covenant prequel?
i literally burst out laughing at dan smithson "an empath" LOL the internet ruined empaths so much its hilar
I mean if you want to get technical the internet ruined everything, and everyone.
How so?
Poor, poor Sil. A scared, confused little girl in pain, with no one to help or comfort her, who loses her humanity and becomes little more than an animal driven purely by survival instinct.
I thought she's an alien? Or is she a genetically engineered human?
@@christophera.1687 My understanding is she is a human girl fused with alien DNA.

I think the most interesting part of this movie is how the 'team' isn't a bunch of grizzled veterans or mercs but essentially just a research team. A nice change tbh.

What's with all the directors obsession with Aliens coming to earth and them getting pregnant. I mean yeah, same dawg, but still a lil weird.
lmao
it's like Gardevoir and Vaporeon for Western movie makers.
Cause Hollywood directors have fantasies of clapping them alien cheeks
I don't know what you mean? This is like a really rare concept these days
You know there's a little bit of a fetish for everyone right? Like how even in the Terminator franchise, T3 and TSCC introduced sexy female terminators.
This is and was and always has been one of my absolute favorite movies since i was a kid. That Alien design is just, special. HR Giger really got to show his talents with Sil compared to the Xeno.

Lol, absolutely! 😜
Meeeee toooooo
Natasha Henstridge
She had a brief, but hot career. "Ghosts of Mars" is also a nice one she's in

Took the words out my mouth lol
Am I the only one that was rooting for the alien the entire movie?
You're not alone brow 😂
Yes till i notice she totslly a dabger to world
@@iancruz6617 She had basic human understanding and had some emotions, if she was given a little bit of care and learned some human values she could have been pretty much a normal woman.
@@its_johnH Right, who knows if she would have been a murderous danger if the chief scientist dude hadn’t tried to kill her first. We didn’t see anything about her before she was just trying to survive by any means necessary.
An amoral alien race that breeds its dominant host into overpopulated extinction.
So, this was *SPLICE* before the splice ever happened 🤔 but the original name was *SPECIES* in the 80's? Hmm...... fascinating!
1995. My dad took me to see this when I was 9 years old ha ha! After she drowned/choked the second guy, I told my dad that I couldn't take it. It's the only movie I've ever walked away from. We rented it from Blockbuster later, and I got through it.
i feel bad for the conductor.
Ah! The good ol' days when before Otto became Doc. Ock
kind of surprised she didn't eat the conductor for helping the metamorphosis speeding it along you would think that would happen because growing from a child to an adult would require a lot of energy and materials to fuel such growth
So the aliens designed a bio weapon and convinced humans to cook it up themselves.
basically I mean think about it short lives sexually attractive and breeds like you on crack it is a very smart super weapon being that it burns itself out very quickly so it kills off the human race dies off and they have a clean world to inhabit easy simple ways to get habitable worlds without any combat losses smart when you think about it shame the plan does not work on humans though because we do not make enough of them to get wiped out by them
The franchise was really good when I was a kid, even though we aren't supposed to watch I watch with my family anyway haha so this is precious...
This movie almost perfectly matches the story of how I had my first kid. Minus the government getting involved.
Didn't know doc oc got a part time job as an anthropologist

So my mind wasn't just making this up back when I was a little kid? So this movie ain't one of those weird childhood fever dreams and guilty-pleasure shit? This movie actually exists?
when I was young this story was absolutely terrifying!
Natasha Henstridge and Milla Jovovich were my childhood babes lol
Whole thing could of been avoided if they just didn't try to kill her at the start. First thing you teach shit like this, mutants, aliens, sentient AI, whatever you grow in a lab that is smart, teach it kindness and that you are to be trusted above all else. Do that, and your chances of shit going wrong drops a lot. It's always the same story with movies or books like this. Lab creates ai, treats it like shit or lies to it etc, ai goes crazy and wants to kill you. Lab creates smart monkey, same thing happens. Lab creates mutants, again same thing happens. All of these movies have the same trend of the "antagonist" of the film really being created by humans, and not just because humans literally created them but because humans always seems to teach them the same shit: Humans are liars and want to harm you. Hard to be on the side of humans in these kinds of movies.
that saved me watching the movie ! a cool channel !
15:53 that's a grenade launcher, not a shotgun. Like, I get that shotguns have large shells but come on
Sil and my teenage self had lots of good times together!!

Humans may be weak in our environment but surely an alien not ment for the condition on earth would have it worse
This was my childhood...watched them all as a kid lol
Good thing I never watched any of these creepy movies 🤮
Species I is entirely carried by Alfred Molina & Natasha Henstridge. Their 3rd act sex scene, in addition to making its movie unforgettable, just oozes *ultimate male fantasy* (minus the death part). If you edit out the other parts of the movie during that scene, you're left with 1' 20'' of perfectly brought, perfectly played & perfectly recorder sex.
The death part is pretty realistic, if I just found out I got a woman pregnant I'd want to die to.

The sequels of this movie are good as well, especially the Species 2.
This movie was cool, but they should have gone with practical effects, no cgi
Marg is a work of art. Some of best legs I've ever seen.
I was wondering when they were going to get to this one.
i remember this video was posted like months ago but it got removed from the channel and now its back
Species was a good film and the rest of the series too
Design designer that made the aliens for species also designed the xenomorphs from alien H.R. Geiger I think let me know when I'm wrong
He did for the Alien series (and a video game too!) But this was only partially inspired by Geiger's work. I think you can usually tell as well where his art influenced certain media. Sil looks too different to be "Geigeresque" imho
