- One week in France and we have managed to buy essentials to survive, drive successfully on the wrong but right side of the road, open a bank account, and organise our internet and mobile phone accounts. I also had my first French kiss with the Mayor of Daglan at the fete du Printemps (Spring festival). 😚
What a beautiful find! I think consulting locals is always a positive move, plus they generally know the history. 😊🇦🇺
Were we meant to be able to hear & understand the conversation starting at appx 12 min in? The music is louder than the conversation. Also, why do CZcamsrs have massively loud intros? Other than that, I am looking forward to watching your journey & adventures. I subscribed so hopefully there will be regular content. 😊
Hello signed up to the vlog this evening as you tube put you in my feed. Fellow army girl but RNZA, from across the ditch. Purchased a home in Brittany in 2018 but the had yo return to Australia 4 family and work commitments. Finally returning to France late October early November to start my delayed adventure. Just a couple of tips 4 you. Be careful with the music or t.v. playing in the background you can get pinged by you tube 4 copy right breaches and if you are talking or filming for you tube please put your mics on so we can hear you If that is your intention. If you are outside please use the wind mufflers. Lastly welcome to France best wishes and kind regards.😊👩💼
Thanks for your feedback Kim. I will certainly take everything you’ve mentioned on board and work to improve my production quality.
Enjoying watching you settling into France. It might be a good idea to invest in a little microphone though as i'm finding it very difficult to hear what you are saying when talking to the camera.
Yes music too loud over your voice .
Nice to hear about your new journey - looking forward to watching the transformation
Thank you Marilyn 😊
We are really enjoying your channel however the music is very loud (maybe not necessary at all) and makes it hard to hear you speak. Your husband's furniture looks amazing as is your art. Good luck with your renovations and we are looking forward to seeing your changes. Cheers from Australia
Beautiful house and love the furniture
Thank you 😊
... éventuellement et si vous plantez quelques pruniers , faire de l'eau de vie de prunes et ça , croyez moi ! that 's a dordognard 's medicine , ça vous réchauffe vraiment bien jusqu'aux os ; well , it warms you up better than anything else around ! ... 😀
What a beautiful find. I look forward t watching it's transformation. Just one comment, when you are panning around in, take it slow, because if you pan too fast it can make the viewer feel a little seasick. Loving your two little 'boys'!
I've only just found this channel and I'm so pleased! We visited this region earlier in the year and it is so beautiful! Can't wait to see more.
Thank you! I’m surprised there aren’t more Dordogne vlogs. It’s such a beautiful place 💗
Love the parquet floors and the black and white floors.
I hope you are going to keep at least some of the historical charm of the place. Being an Aussie myself I watch a lot of these vlogs & I love that they restore rather than renovate & still keep it luxurious & still retain the historical charm of these buildings, while bringing these gorgeous buildings into the 21st century.
Thank you for your message. Our mantra is to ‘restore’ before we ‘replace’ so yes will be keeping as much as possible. Thanks for watching. 😊
Looking forward to watching your adventures in this wonderful area. We stayed in Domme for a week about ten years so are a little familiar with your surroundings. As you explore the area I am sure it bring back so many wonderful memories. Good luck with keeping warm. I'm sure it was a bitter shock coming from Brissie. Sounds more like Melbourne weather.... Bonne chance!
Crazy, i forgot to mention how stunning Domme was in my last episode (Ep 6). I will certainly mention it in future episodes. I’m still yet to see the caves there. Thanks for your comments and for watching. 😊😊
Just found your channel. It will be exciting to follow your new adventures . The loud music over your conversation makes it difficult to follow what you're saying, tho.❤
I agree! No music is needed during narration or conversations.
So glad I found your channel, my husband and I have just bought a property in the Charente and we'll be travelling back and forth to it from Perth for the next 12mths to renovate it, so LOVE watching your journey too.
Thank you Nerida. How exciting for you! I've been as far north as Périgueux, just to the South which is a lovely part of the world. Please let me know if there's anything you would like to see or learn more about. In my next episode I will be covering off on some "French funnies and surprises". You would think after all the research that goes into buying a property on the other side of the world that you would, with the help of Goggle, be across most things but noooo ha!
The sound made it difficult to hear the last conversation. thank you for the share. WEEEEE
And thank you for watching 😊
Wow love all the spaces you have to work with and your art is stunning
I can tell that you will be doing great work!!! I will be with you through it!! Just would like to say that I find the volume when you are talking on the vlogs is too low. When you talk over the vlog, it is perfect volume. Not sure if it is my system, but just thought I would mention. The furniture is not too bad at all. Some very nice pieces. Was wondering if you will at least keep the stairs in the gite. Am watching all your previous blogs. I dream of moving to France myself. Not sure if that will every happen, but never say never. From Calgary Canada. No the volume o the camera when you are making the vlog needs to have the volume higher. I just listened to 2 of your vids and its the same thing. Best.
Thank you for your feedback, and exactly never say, never! I shall endeavour to get my volume and mixing levels better moving forward. 😊
Love the story but it’s difficult to hear at times…. Maybe a mic is needed or quieter background music. Thanks 😊
Shame I couldn't really hear what you were saying, especially over the music.... But love what your doing.
Magnificent home and grounds. Best of luck.
Thank you!
Hello from PEI Canada. I am glad that I have found your videos.
Hello Canada! We’ve met some lovely expats here from Canada. They live in our village and are aka ways up for a soirée!
I can understand why you fell in love with this. So beautiful, looking forward to see your plans. Good luck xx
Thanks so much! 😊
Think about some parking at the Gite people may not want to climb those steps to get to there accommodations.
Found your CZcams channel today... Binged watched the whole thing.... I'm a twin too... Luckily I'm only 5mins drive away....
Thank you 😊 and how nice! It sounds like you are very close (both relationship and location) 😍
I’m enjoying watching your videos but can you please do something about the levels of sound. Your voiceovers are clear and easy to understand but when you and hubby chat, your voices are almost impossible to hear what is being said, especially when you have background music playing. You have moved to one of my favorite parts of France and we hope to visit them area next year. I’m looking forward to more videos. Bonnie chance and greetings from Stanthorpe!
Hello Mary, Jane from Stanthorpe! I know your area very well indeed. Hopefully you have noticed an improvement with the mixing of sound now, thanks for watching!
Have not been able to hear a word you have said. Please update the mike.
Music makes it hard to hear you
Is the clock working ? Did you try to Throw the pendulum ?
Yes it does work. It sounds beautiful, I will have to show you in a future episode. Thanks for watching!
Not "pigeon-air" but closer to Pee-jonnie-ay or Pee-john-yay (only not John but Jean )
Music is awful and distracting but you’ve probably changed that in more recent episodes. (Lol, just saw others said the same thing).
I very much enjoyed this video, but your music overwhelms your voice. Im sure with time you’ll figure it out.
Hopefully now it’s better. Much to learn re video production in the early vlogs
Sorry, can’t understand a thing you are saying(:
Oh, that’s disappointing - I will be be sure to improve the sound quality in future episodes.
