Nice.
I got the Milwaukee brand.
It’s really helpful to see where heat is escaping from the house.
Yo Patrick,
Long time no see. Lol
Thanks for stopping by.

Nice one Chuck! I got the TC001 model from Topdon. This thing is quite handy and useful. But in retrospect I wish I would have gotten the stand alone unit, and the reason for that is every time I have to use the TC001 I have to take my phone cover off in order for the USBC connector to be plugged in properly, otherwise it's a great deal.
Yo Chris,
Thanks for stopping in.
Before I bought the TC004, I was going to buy the TC002 (iOS version).
Because I knew it would be easier to share, and transfer photos & videos taken with the thermal camera.
But I didn't want to tie up my phone or rely on my phone so I went for the hand held unit.
The TC002, and TC001 have the advantage of measuring up to 1000°F, whereas the TC004 only goes up to 662°F.
Overall I'm glad I got the handheld unit.

8:40 that is neat!
I should have showed cooking a burger on the grill. Lol
@@PanzerPlatform I'm sure the Texas Hamburglar has a patent on that
Also nice to check the exhuast manifold for a miss-firing cylinder! And looking at heat image on your laptop, as an IT Guy, I'd say the heat transfer paste on the CPU needs to be cleaned off and replaced! That'll allow the excess heat to travel down the bar to the cooling fins! Common issue on low end laptops and an easy fix!

Great review, Chuck. Nice tool, seems like easy to use. Expensive though, unless you use it often.
Yo Andrei,
Thanks for stopping in.
Back in the day the only people who had Torque Wrenches were Master Technicians working in industry. Nowadays the average DIY has one in the tool box.
One day owning a thermal camera will as common as owning a torque wrench.
Just like Dean used to say about Sinatra; "Always expensive, but always a value". Lol

Nice review, Chuck! The Topdon stuff that I have used always seems to work great and their products are very well built. That's a damn nice heat gun! The fact that it can sense the heat from the tip of your finger after less that 1 second of contact is very impressive to me. It was also interesting to see the heat buildup in your power supply/charger wires. Maybe ole Don Schumacher should up-size that wire to the next gauge? lol. Nice work, sir! 👍
Yo Brian,
It's always a pleasure when you drop in.
Ever since I saw Predator back in 1987, I never thought I would own a thermal imager. This is darn near the equivalent of 1950 Superman's X-Ray Vision. Lol
The reason my charger wires go so hot is because I extended the wires by 15ft and I only used 12AWG. It's adequete for maintenance charging, but when I had my defroster going the charger was pushing 15 Amps.
I could smell the SAE Pigtail connector getting warm. Lol

It is amazing to see the technology invented and put into service in just one lifetime. Since I was a kid, I have witnessed personal computers become common for everyone.... I lived through the invention of the "car" phone, bag phone, cell phone, smart phone..... I remember living without the "internet" and I've been using it pretty much every day since it went mainstream.... There are a ton of technologies that have been invented, and are now reasonable enough for the common man to own and use. This new thermal imaging camera is just another example of great things that were invented just while I've been living.

I was waiting for you to say how you used to start your car by standing in front with a hand crank. Lol
@@PanzerPlatform Hey, I'm not THAT old.... We already had color television by the time I was born. lol. 😄
Just finish watching your review. Great job. 2;00 o'clock in the morning. I just bought one.
Thank you for watching.
I hope you bought it from Amazon so you have the piece of mind of the 30-day free return policy.
If you're not 100% satisfied with its advertised claims I urge you to return it for a full cash refund.

Yo Capn'
I thought so too, I knew I had to put that in the video when I saw that in person. lol

Hey Chuck thanks for letting us know about this tool that is great. I been trying to check out hot spots under the hood of my Town car with those non contact thermometers but like you said your never quite sure what your getting the reading of or if its the hottest spot.
Yo Mr. E
Thanks for stopping in.
This tool instantly eliminates the guesswork compared to using a regular thermometer. It feels like cheating. Lol
-Chuck
Awesome work as always my friend
Yo Mike,
Thanks for stopping by.
Was this thing neat or what. lol
-Chuck
Holy crap Chuck, you finally got a computer?
Yo Melle Mel,
