A lot of English people with motorhomes and caravans used to come for the winter, 180 days, now we can only come for a maximum of 90 days which isn't long enough after spending so much money to get there and back , hopefully they might change it back to 180 days then the British older people will start to come back to Spain, we love the climate and mostly the Spanish people are very friendly but not so much since Brexit, so sad really.
Ana, thank you for posting this💙, I have visited that market 3 or 4 times from 2016 to 2019, always love the leather footwear & bags, + fruit & pastries, and I feel for the market traders who are struggling at this time - I think people will return to Benidorm this March to make up for the last couple of years of lockdown, but I just wish your local government would stop making people wear masks in open air public places = its putting holiday makers off from returning to Benidorm - people are thinking of going to Turkey instead.

Yes, the best place to do so is DRUNI, there is one at the shopping mall La Marina, and the other is right in the town center, just type DRUNI in google maps when you'll be at the end of mediterranean Avenue, it will lead you there

oh Ana, people its january we have the covid to contend with travel restrictions have only just gone will take a little time to get back to as near as normal as possible so sadly the traders will suffer a while longer but things will improve fake goods are a bad problem worldwide people being ripped off with so called bargains everybody should be glad of all the progress we are making getting back to some normality i think over february and march much improvement travel agents in uk bookings flying up alicante for Benidorm 2nd highest bookings listened to your president saying to follow the uk and learning to live with the virus anyway you are my smiling one so keep it going Ana see you all in march sol shining beer cold great stuff adios nearly forgot my beloved sangria.

@@BenidormbyAna hello Ana in the sense that a few years back there were more choice of goods and more spanish traders. I was there over Xmas and the vibe has definitely changed.

It's probably not, but she only wears it 1-2 a year and when it's cold, with me near her
I have been visiting Spain for 20 years ,Been to Benidorm 5 Times, was going to buy a property, then changed our minds, Spanish government always slagging of Brits, we have £180.000 to buy a property what I seen on idealista, the property was £210.000 , so we need a small mortgage, checked idealista for mortgage deal, every country in the world is able to get a mortgage, except Britain,
So much for being friends,we have nothing against the Spanish, but they politics stinks.
Noone takes mortgages with idealista, that's literally the worst place to ask for one. All people do it directly with banks, and they don't look on nationalities, only on paperwork... however, I must say, that for us foreigners, it's almost impossible to get a mortgage, need a lot of paperwork and stable job, etc 🤔
