  • Michael Carrick's passing was often seen as the standout attribute he had. All of his managers rated him highly and Pep Guardiola even said he's one of the best he's ever seen.

safe to say that we’d kill for him in his prime atm. so where do you think he ranks in united’s all time midfielders?
do you think he’s underrated or given his just dues? is he one of the best passers the premier league has seen?
drop a like on the vid and tell me, cheers

Seriously underrated. He may not have the most assists, let alone goals, but his exceptional passing range and vision opens up many opportunities for the attackers. I like how his passes leads to the easy assist.
He would totally create so much for the speedy frontmen of United's squad today.

Underrated at club level, underutilized at international level. Consistent and able to impact a game with one pass. Pirlo and Xabi Alonso get more praise as deep lying play makers but Carrick is of that ilk.

While Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie were the stars in the 12-13 title win Carrick was incredibly influential in that run literally made cleverley and Anderson looked better than they actually are. Also in United’s 16-17 season which the main stars were Zlatan,Herrera and Pogba plus that campaign is incredibly mediocre by their standard which was saved by the UEL but you can’t overlooked how influential Carrick was in the run to the final. Gave Herrera and Pogba their best run as a midfield duo. Literally made Fellaini looked so much better than he actually is. He was key in some of LVG’s best league runs towards the end of the 14-15 season and that FA Cup run

Why on earth we haven't even tried to replace him is beyond me, United are screaming for a player who can dictate a game who is calm on the ball in midfield and play 1 touch with the ability to play balls over the top to the wonderfully talented fast attack we have. Pogba can pass but he can't dictate a game and is too undisciplined to play central midfield. I can't watch Fred anymore I think it's going to be the death of me. TWO holding mids both with 0 composure or any qualities required to run a game is ridiculous for the money we've spent. Ole needs to risk it more but clearly doesn't trust the others defensively. I've had enough of our centrebacks being better on the ball football players than our midfielders, what the fuck is that? Cause it's certainly not United of old
