That volvo was a disappointment for me.. Volvo are supposed to be super SUPER safe.. But the roof flexed.. And the side impact wasn't as good as I expected..the German cars seem to be very solid
keep in mind that was a 2017 they have improved alot in 2018 etc with alot more safety faster airbags 2nd that was there little ones which are less safe there bigger ones sell more anyway which are way more safer

If you look at the smart-for-two crash test, the passenger compartment stays intact, but the driver has a bigger chance of dying due to the lack of a crumple zone to absorb the impact, so the body instead took the brunt of it, spiking the deceleration G-forces to a level that a human body can’t handle. The car crumpling as much as possible while being as least invasive to the body as possible, keeps the G-forces lower so the human(s) inside have a better chance of survival. Something well accomplished by most newer cars. :)
