I can’t get over the fact that crash dummies cost $1mill each!
Wow really?
The technology is very expensive inside of it
Soon we will be saying I can't believe a loaf of bread costs $1mill but let's go Brandon!
@@howlingwolf500 Lets go brandon, fjb.
You give me car place😢😢😢
hey dan! got to see you at CoTA yesterday. super sick to get to meet you, and you’re just as kind and down to earth in person. love what you do, and can’t wait to see the next video! 🤯😎
Nice video! Greetings from the photographer that works in the safety lab and is also in the video for a fracture of a second at 7:39 😅
I hope you had 2 interesting days in Sindelfingen.
Aweseme. Great work! That was a fun event

War das ReinerZufall oder geplant? Sorry aber die Vorlage mit dem Benutzernamen musste ich jetzt ausnutzen 😂
Probably one of the best "what's inside? Family" video
My life goal is to own a Harley at some point… this man’s life goal was to watch 2 cars crash into each other. Respect!
Hey Dan! Thank you for this great video! Simply stunning what you've made out of that project!
Regards from Sindelfingen.
Marcel
Cars have very underrated engineering. Even my 07 Corolla is impressive if learn how to take one apart.
I want to see them paint two cars with Vantablack or Musou black, and then crash them. That would be really trippy.
It would look like beamng but the textures failed to load.
Best video ever ❤
im a collision repair tech and i’m OBSESSED with the science behind automotive safety features. like it blows my mind that someone actually came up with the idea of airbags, seatbelts, crump zones, etc
FYI Dan, the Genesis GV70 has airbags that inflate between the front seats as well…
sensors are responsible for determining which airbags should deploy & when. just bc they didn’t deploy doesn’t mean they aren’t present. most new cars have 8+ airbags
and the Chevy Traverse
Same with the Lexus RX
Same with most cars
Another awesome video!
Should be called Crunch Labs
I think that's already been taken
Yea😅

@@LT2_Official_News Guys. That’s the joke.
What's with the baked in subtitles... CZcams has native support for them
you should go to teslas crash facility next if they let you film they might not cuz who knows they might have something in there like the model 2 that we dont know about
You should make your wife’s Mercedes that color 😉 love the vids!
Awesome job dan thumb up
How cool is that? What an awesome experience
8:52, Where you were talking about the side airbags on the seats, the Mercedes is not the only one that has it, From what I experienced, we rolled over on the side, my dad was driving and mom was in the passenger seat, spun and rolled over into the ditch, the seat airbag deployed (the same way it did in the Mercedes, from the picture shown.) It deployed so that way my mom wont hit my dads head, but you would have to watch out with your arm, my dads arm was on the center concle, and when the seat airbag deployed, it hit it really hard against my dads arm, (only bruises). It was a Tahoe 2015. I was in the middle seat at the time (first row) And I was just hanging like the lights would lol, all bc of my seatbelt, what I realized about that was life saving for me. If I didnt have it on, I could at least die from it. So you see, I have metal plates in my head for hearing, (I'm deaf) and I use implants. If I hit my head too hard, I could pass out or even worse die. That seatbelt truly saved my life. We are alrright, with js brusies from seatbelt bc we were dangling in the air lol.
The fact that Mercedes made the crash more realistic by making the female drive the cars 💀
Thats not true and just beacuse they putted female it doesnt mean that they are bad drivers
@@randomthingsstuff6591ya it’s just a example
the misogyny laced with this comment…
"Daddy can I have a g wagon"
@@cyberstar_.women ☕️
8:44 this is becoming standard in various cars now and not just Mercedes.
Your videos are soooooooooo cool and I saw that you have alot of Tesla
You should get a Mercedes-Benz as your next car
Good idea
"WHATS INSIDE??? -FAMILY!1!1!1"
There's a company in Utah that does this. I've worked for them on and off over the years. They crash all kinds of vehicles.
Is it an official institute like ncap?
Pretty fun job for sure, you doing all manufacturers? Any insights you are allowed and willing to share?
'"notice the coat hanger is properly marked": Willkommen in Deutschland!!!
Impressive... I wonder if the cheap Chinese vehicles are tested...?
Some of them don't allowed to sell in Germany cuz of bad crash results.
LOL
Yeah chinese vehicles are tested too by NCAP and other companies
cool!
Electric cars can catch fire too, and the Electric car battery leaks out in car crash
Yes, any vehicle of any kind can catch fire if you crash the right--or wrong--way, but gasoline-powered cars are over 60x more likely to catch fire compared to an electric car, at about 1,530 fires per 100,000 sold, while EVs are the lowest at 25 per 100,000 sold.
In 8j ROJA GOINED THE GAME
If I wanted closed captions on I would’ve turned it on myself 🤦♂️
I would just like to say that modern gasoline cars also have crumples zones
Sure, crumble zones are nothing new and saved thousands of lives already.
The concern for evs is more on protecting the battery, since they already are safer (due to missing engine block) for the passengers.
Very cool tbh
That was a golden ending
mercedes is a thing metal and art fall in love...we miss sir bruno sacco .respect
Is that my name from last week?😮😮😮😮😮
Show the mercedes suv’s crashing:❌
Doing a look at the whole building for 12 minutes:✅
Genesis actually also has the airbags between the passengers
this man gotta be living life in sandbox mode because where in high hell do you get that money
please do a whats inside for the silent basketball
3,000 FPS? thats it? we gotta get the slow mo guys in on this.
So you were behind the video? That's cool
Great video, but the subtitles was quite distracting.
Question, are EV's crash tested with charged batteries?
If there not charged they would probably be bricked. You can't run a lithium battery flat.
8:51 gm suvs also have that middle airbag
when are u getting your Mercedes car?
8:41 Volvo also does
You are at Germany land and i am too but I am borned at germany and apperantly i always do a crash test 😂
Cool video. Are those exposed lead bricks?
lead bricks?
This was a good opportunity to post on whats inside channel why is that dead?
I have a yellow Lamborghini and it’s all fly😂😂😂😂😂😂
My 2002 VW also has a middle airbag
Yo bro, I watched you bro I like your videos😊
Two Mercedes crashed together. I didn’t see a car crash test videos and if you watch one of those, you can have this Mercedes ML police Mercedes, and I saw them at the end.
Tesla have airbags in both sides of the seats in Model Y, so Mercedes is definitely not first.
Awesome video anyway.
No question Tesla makes super safe cars. But they do not have an airbag like the Mercedes that pops up in between the driver and Passenger like this. I just googled the airbag images for the Model Y and I did not see that airbag. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@WHATSINSIDEFAMILY Tesla model Y has airbag between the driver and the passenger since last year. I think it’s the first car to have it. You can clearly see it in EuroNcap crash tests. It’s one of the reasons it’s been rated as the safest vehicle ever tested along with model S 😊
Dodge it at the top of the crash test list
11:30 yo what the hell
Like wow
That middle airbag came out on a chevy sedan in 2013 I think..
6:10 nice (when crash happens)
RIP MY EARS LOL, I WAS WEARING HEADPHONES
New Tesla's Like the Model X, The Model S, And the Model Y all have a big side airbag on the drivers side
Well I see where they get their names from🤣
nice video!!!!!!!
Video starts 6:00
Yeah watched from there to end.
8:45 I think Hyundai also has them
What are they doing with the cars after? The cars should be fixable or make them stronger to bot shrink like this and airbags coming out and the car not damaged like this and fixable
Analyze them.
You can't repair any car after a crash like this. And also, which is more important to you, living driver or living car after a crash?
You definitely don't want these cars to shrink less because they shrink and crumple more to protect you
Where is my award? 12:18 🤣😂😅 @WHATSINSIDEFAMILY , I love this Video! 🥰
It's similar to Beamng Drive accident simulator game to me
Dude looks like smarter every day

that kind if "glitch" is more or less always intentional.
11:31 bug?????
I WOKE UP IN A NEW BUGGATI 6:11
As a tow operator. I see a lot of accident and these crash tests cant show everything that could happen. And air bags don't deploy more then you would think. Their are cars with tiny dents and airbags deploy and then there are vehicles that are completely destroyed and not one airbag deployes. So I don't believe these test can be accurate. Especially I don't believe what he said about the center air bag deploying with a secondary collision would be true because I am 70% sure the vehicle has to be in motion prior to impact for any airbags to deploye. But I could be wrong on that.
You are wrong about the last part ;-)
At least for modern cars, not sure about older ones.
Airbags can be deployed one by one and also stationary. The system only deploys the necessary ones to keep the rest as backup for potential other impacts.
E.g. u crash, then stand still and then get hit by an incoming car. I have seen real life data on triple deployments.
Awesome videos sorry I’m so late
1:35 "They have a female driving the car that's going to crash...They got a female driver and a female passenger. Good luck dummies."
I guess they had to make it realistic.
you sould test a crash where one is a gas car and the other is an electric car
The Chevy traverse has an airbag in both sides of the driver seat.
