we go in for it to see approximate due date & see is it a boy or girl, this test demands an ultra sound so since we need to know our due date to work with a midwife better, and ultra sound is a request by the testers, we'll know our baby's gender, there's no other testing happening and paternity suggestion is false, also I'd highly advise against amniotic piercing as that's pure violence
My husband and I chose to do the test to know if there is a high risk for any genetic disorders. We're keeping the baby no matter what. But if there's a chance of them having a disorder, we want to learn more about that and prepare for what to do once the baby is here.
So the only benefit of doing NIPT is knowing the gender from early on. The rest is just giving the parents the stress that they don't need. 🤦🏻♀️ The fact that it will speak about chances and they can be false postive or negative makes it a BS test. Sorry.
