I wore a nice pair of wide leg pants this week to a meeting with heels felt great and got a few compliments (to my surprise). I agree about pants being as long as possible, except that they should not drag on the floor or bunch up over the feet. This makes the legs look even shorter, like we’re little girls wearing Mom’s pants. My guideline is that they should cover at least half of the heel. Having about a 27” inseam, I have to hem all pants except cropped ones. I don’t think it works to try to wear a specific pair of pants with both flats and heels, so I hem mine shorter for very casual wear, like around the house, and another pair for wearing with my standard 2.5” “heels”, as high as I can go. If I really love a pair that work for every occasion, I might buy two pairs and hem them at different lengths.

I will make a work clothes video! If you can't wear open toe, pointy toe can always elongate our legs! You CAN find comfortable ones, just make sure the leather stretches!
I have a fuller figure, but I tuck in all my tops because of the way it improves my proportions. My whole body looks like a brick otherwise. Women at the correct BMI are supposed to have a somewhat rounded belly. Let the belly curve show, it’s part of being female!
I'm the one body vertical line you don't address, the 50/50. My torso and legs are the same length and I am short waisted. My bottom ribs are only about an inch off the top of my hip bone, so high rise pants are out. The waist band is across my ribs and gets folded over as I move or makes me feel "strangled". Mid rise on anyone else is waist high on me. I don't do cropped tops or tucks because it makes me out of proportion. However if I can get wide leg pants that are mid rise and fall from the hips I can do monochrome and look great. I have plenty of decolletage to play with and take the attention off my short midsection, yay 😁
This is great. I had some wide leg crops I’ve been trying to wear and they didn’t look quite right on me. Now I know the reason why and I don’t feel so bad about letting them go.
