    no one is going to read this - but his presence in the "now" and ability to connect with the underlying tone of his audience is so canny and spot on. It's just a gift and it comes through in his writing. - and guitar playing :)

    Jason Isbell deserved this award. It is one of the best love songs ever written. Bravo. So glad he's getting the recognition he deserves. One of the best song writers ever

    Wow that's nuts Jason Isbell won for "Vampires" but also had a KILLER song on his record "Nashville Sound" Called "Cumberland Gap"

    He flew under the radar, despite this win. However, I think Cover Me Up was a more award worthy song.

    I love the jab at lazy gullible American society reality tv, Jason is telling us to get away from that and go do something productive.
