I love it how original boss themes and arrangements on existing ones from Remake pretty much became leitmotifs in Rebirth. I’m so blown away. This game BETTER get best soundtrack
this song has been absolutely fun at the gym, along with a bunch of tekken songs I normally use when I'm pre-training against a heavy bag doing taekwondo with boxing
I think it makes sense this isn't quite *as* cinematic, since this Valkyrie was deployed as a means to distract Cloud & crew, while the original Valkyrie was fought near the top of the Sector 7 ruins as the last major guardian between the gang & Shinra HQ

Compare the two bosses side by side and you'll see the differences between the two game. Remake every boss fight was designed as a big showpiece. Rebirth feels more like another general RPG boss fight. Remake's were generally on a 10/10 level but overall i'd say boss design in Rebirth has taken a slight hit in favour of other stuff, more like 8.5/10 or 9/10. Arena design, camera and stages/routines for each fight seemed better in Remake imo.

Im a bit sad Rebirth toned down the epicness of the battles but...in a way, it was sometimes a bit much in Remake sometimes. Plus if they bring it back in the 3rd game, thats clutch.
@@Cfreezy12 They probably meant the showiness, not the difficulty. This one is a standard battle with no evasion at the beginning or quick-time events to transition the battlefield for each phase.

The reason why it's better, IMO, is because they replaced all the synth with orchestral symphony instruments.

The Remake bosses felt more impactful in that you had to react more to what they were doing, where in Rebirth it's a bit more hack and slash.
