    Worked perfect, I have tried various others, this was the simplest, and I highly recommend. Even though I usually don't I decided to subscribe... good job! ( I did use a 220K resistor on the + of the LED just in case though)

    Thank you. I recommend using a 400 ohm current limiting resistor on your LED.

      @@jimpugh6357 I read that a GPIO on the ESP8266 can supply at most 12ma. So you need to make sure that any LEDs don't draw more than that. If you use a typical LED which has a voltage drop of 1.7v - this leaves you to insert a resistor in series which has a 3.3v (5-1.7) voltage across it. Using Ohms law (V/I = R) - Gives a value of 270 ohm (or greater) to limit the current to 12ma. So 400 ohm is a safe bet for these typical LED values.

    i need how can i make a single device for deuth with this because if you dont have connection to internet with this module they cant detect you without special devices and they can do it only when you attack so can i just conect lcd display and some switches to it or i need something like raspberry pi

      go to tools, library manager and look for ESP8266, download the libraby "by Community", then you should already have it included

    I have followed the exact code and connection. I have ESP8266EX chip. I am getting stuck at serial monitor showing 'Connecting......" Can't understand where I am going wrong. Also I am losing the blinking of NodeMCU once code is uploaded, which also is strange

      Just connect the + of battery in +5volt of esp and - of battery in ground of esp!!!!

    Sorry, it's no longer working. I tried to connect the same code to the same wifi router as I did before. The code works and is uploaded to the board. But it seems like it never connected to the wifi, only showing dots that never ends.

      @@walidbinabdussalam5537 I had to update the Arduino ide or use 2.0 instead. It works, but there are problems with esp8266 such as an uploading error, it requires me to reinstall the driver every time I reboot my laptop. I prefer esp32 for my work these days, it's more stable and I never had problems with the driver

    My Serial Monitor doesn't print the sentences properly (Wifi Connected Success!, NodeMCU IP Address ). instead, it shows a lot of weird characters (1384, room 16
    tail 8
    chksum Ȥl⸮⸮⸮CGH⸮yIi⸮⸮⸮ș⸮⸮⸮). Online people say it is the baud (something related to the speed 9600). I could not fix it :/
