J.R. Smith and NC A&T Are Pouring Into the Future | HBCUs Rising 2.0

Former NBA player J.R. Smith is on a mission to not only better himself, but those around him. In this episode of HBCU Rising, Smith sits with North Carolina A&T Dean and Professor of the College of Education Dr. Paula Groves Price, to discuss the importance of pouring into the next generation of students. With the help of Toyota, he also donates $5K to provide equipment to the STEAM lab at Aggie Academy for students to have the resources they need.

People tell me I’m very talented in all I do when I do it. BUT I’m holding my self back because of being afraid of failing. As a child I feared it then and I do now. I’m 60 years old and I look back at all I have learned from residential remodeling and repairs, commercial repairs and remodeling, gardening, roofing, and so much more. BUT! I fail when it comes to to school work and I fear it so bad. I would love to learn what I should have learned long ago but just can’t find that one on one help. I pray that all children get the help they all need. Nice job!
