Well Dimash was my painkiller when I broke my knee last easter😂 I lay there in the hospital for a week and had ONLY Dimash in my headphones 24/7 and didn't need any other painkillers 😁 sounds ridiculous right? But true nontheless 🥰

Like others have said, Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He is their national treasure as well as the cultural ambassador between China-Kazakhstan. Dimash has been singing on stage for 20 years. He is classically trained. He sings in 12+ languages and plays 8+ instruments. He has done concerts in China, Kazakhstan, Moscow, London and will be doing concerts in the very near future in St. Petersburg, Russia and also NYC on December 23. He sings in 6 octaves. His USA concert will be on the 10th of December in NYC at the Barklays Center, they just announced that the start of the tickets sale will be opened very soon.
For all his concerts it’s always a full house and tickets are sold out, because his fans from all over the world coming to his concerts wherever they are held: Kazakhstan, Russia, China or UK. It will be first concert in USA, he also participated in USA show The World's Best, where he was a clear leader, but withdraw to give a way to the talented young contestants that are just starting they way, because he adores children and couldn't compete with them.

In my 70 years on this planet, I have never heard any male hit those notes with that kind of power and control. Not to mention, he makes it look and sound so simple. It's not. Over 20 years of training went into the making of this young man and I seriously doubt whether or not I will live long enough to hear someone rival him. Great reaction vid!!! Well. This is a Chinese singing competition which, before 2017, no foreigners has won 1st place. All the other contestants are veteran singers with millions of fans in China. And Dimash was only a 22-yo unknown singer (at the time). You can imagine the rest.
@@pichac.7327 Yes..after I posted that response I realised it probably had to do with it being a Chinese competition and Dimash not being Chinese. You see that in every country in such televised competitions...they make sure it's not a foreigner winning. But also I was genuinely interested to hear the actual winner because that still is probably an excellent singer most people outside of China, and especially in the West, have not heard of.

Когда смотрю реакции на Димаша, то удивляет следующее: одни люди слушают сердцем и душой - они от шока молчат или плачут. А есть вторая группа, которые сидят как в цирке - "ржут", кричат, кривляются (интересно, они свои ролики смотрят?). И это не от эмоций, как правило, произведения слушают серьёзные. Но это их выбор - выкладывать себя в таком виде. Смотрю, т.к. иногда происходит трансформация и человек в начале песни кривляющийся, вдруг замолкает и внимательно слушает. В этот момент Димаш победил! Всем хорошего дня!

Thank you guys for doing a Dimash reaction video. He is 25 yrs old, singer/multi instrumentalist from Kazahkstan, classically trained since he was 5 yrs old in the bel canto technique, he has a 6 octave range and sings in multiple languages. He opted to go for neo opera/crossover instead of joining an opera house. Personally, it's not his range which makes him unique, but the way he uses his techniques in interpreting his songs. This competition for professional singers was 2 yrs ago, you should hear his voice today. The agility & control is simply amazing.

He has had sellout concerts in China, Russia... He will be at Barclay Center in New York Dec. 10, 2019. He calls his fans his "Dears". He is the kindest nicest performer you will ever find. He was on World's Best and was about to win it and stepped aside after the last performance for several children performers. They had told him he would not be competing against children. Who else would pass up a million dollars. Only our Dimash.

Dimash have absolutely masterpiece of vocal - "Passione", but I don't recommended do it immediately. Maybe "Love is like a dream" - low notes. Or "Adagio" - amazing control of voice. Or "Ogni Petra" (Olimpico) if you love classical music.
Agree - Passione is a challenging song for some listeners (not Di's performance which is magnificent, but the song itself) so I'd also recommend a few other Dimash songs first. So many to choose from!

No guys- he had made it at this point which was why he was invited on the show. This show is only for professional singers with successful careers and name recognition. He was already well known in his country, Kazakhstan, as well as throughout central Asia, parts of Europe, most of eastern Europe, Russia, etc. He had won many awards before this show. This show just catapulted him to superstardom overnight - in just his first performance, so most deff gave his career a big boost. We, here in the USA just live in a bubble. Right now Dimash is a world star, a superstar across the planet but not yet in the USA. That is soon to change though with his first solo concert in the USA quickly approaching. He will be in concert at Barclays Center, a huge sports arena in Brooklyn, NY on Dec. 10th at 7pm. Tkts are almost sold-out.
💥💥💥My friends you've just touched the tip of the Iceberg that is Dimash. Although this song is in French, Dimash sings in several languages including both Kazakh and Russian which are used equally in Kazakhstan with an increasing percentage of those who speak English under the age of 35.
Dimash was 22 years old when he participated in this Vocal Competition Show called the "Singer 2017". The voice you just heard comes from one naturally gifted but is only possible through years of dedicated training under the supervision of outstanding teachers. His mother is an Opera Singer & his father is a Pop Star/Music Producer. Dimash himself started his extensive formal musical training at the age of 5 on both instruments and vocals. Dimash has said that his vocal chords are longer than usual and during puberty when the "voice change" happened , he didn't lose his high notes but just extended his lower range. As a teen he trained operatically at an arts school but with his range that meant performing as both Tenor and Soprano. In fact his tone was so exceptional that he was actually part of the female section of the choir when they needed help. He then went on to study Rock, Pop & RnB vocal styles in college where he obtained a degree in "Art of Stage Performance/Variety Vocal". He plays 7 instruments proficiently including Piano, the Dombra (a Kazakh 2 stringed Lute) and the Drums. He says his ultimate goal is to tastefully combine his vocal techniques, along with those of his native Kazakh heritage, to create his own musical fusion.
SUGGESTION: You guys should really start with the Singer 2017 Series which was the vocal competition I mentioned earlier. Your first video reaction to "SOS" was the first song Dimash sung in this competition. If you watch them in sequence you will appreciate his evolution as an artist to where is is today nearly 2.5 years later. Great reaction, guys. You might get different responses from others but I believe you are pronouncing his name correctly. Kind of like “Dee mosh” (as in mosh pit). He is from Kazakhstan. This was in 2017 when he was 22. He is now 25 and has improved both his higher and lower registers. You should look up his profile on Wikipedia to get a better understanding of him. Some highlights: He is a classically trained singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist. Has been training for 20 years and continues to train virtually every day. He has several musical degrees and is currently going for his masters in composition and plans to get a PhD. This performance was for the first episode of a competition of well established singers called “The Singer.” Dimash was invited as a “wild card” and up until then was the youngest contestant ever for the show. He did not speak or understand Chinese or English and was a complete unknown outside of Kazakhstan and some of the former Soviet countries. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently and is studying to improve his Mandarin and English. I’m sure you will be recommended to follow his “Singer” journey which is a good place to start. There are 14 episodes and each performance is quite different from the others. He sings in 7 different languages on the show. He had to learn English and Mandarin phonetically so, if you know either language, there are some pronunciation issues. Doesn’t really take away from the performances, though. It’s really a wild ride. But, many of his later performances are remarkable. Sinful Passion at Sochi from 2018 will blow your mind. If you want to see his more current performances, I would recommend Ogni Pietra (from his Arnau concert) and the very recent Passione from New Wave 2019. Both are in Italian and the music is composed by a famous Russian composer, Igor Krutoy, specifically for Dimash’s unique vocal abilities. They are very operatic. Sorry to go on for so long. Dimash has millions of dedicated fans around the world called “Dears” and I’m sure they will be chiming in with other suggestions. I’ll end with this. Dimash is a complete human being - he is intelligent, kind, generous, loving, respectful, and has strong moral values. Despite his prodigious talent, he is very humble and thoughtful. He really loves and appreciates his fans and we feel the same about him.

Hello guys...that is one of the best first time watching/hearing DIMASH performance reactions!!! I know it is unbelievable.Actually,what you have seen is..he is competing in Chinese singing competition of “PROFESSIONAL SINGERS” which one qualifies only if they at least received one award being a singer which is called “I Am Singer”2017,so it is not like “the voice”which is for a singer’s dream starting point.Dimash is from Kazakhstan,and started playing piano/singing when he was just five years old with distinctive talent, that he pursued studying music.Though his talent is very distinctive in Opera style...he excels in all genre as well.Naturally gifted,with hard work and dream...He won many major singing competition taking the champions trophy in his native land and neighbouring Countries.At twenty two years old, He was invited as an international contestant in this competition but won just second place despite.. Dimash is the best vocalist who is Very talented and has 6 Octave range of voice. He is 25 yrs. old and National treasure of his country Kazakhstan. I love him because he is a super special singer and a good person. Read his biography it is very unique and very special.
