Happy Monday everyone! We wanted to clarify the final MSRP for the white Nismo Z in this video. The paint job is an extra $1,225 and with destination the as tested price came to just over $67k. Pricier than we expected, but given the limited production numbers for this car, Nissan should be selling every single one.

your expectation is horrible lmfao, majority perf trim are at msrp or a tiny bit over minus the couple outliars ofc, these will sell at msrp or like the perf trim a little bit over, also most the buyers are ordering them so its not like you'll see them on the market anyways

Dealers were selling the Z for 80k, they'll list this for at least 130k with a whopping 9%apr thanks to bidens fantastic grasp on our economy

Tough sell when you can get a Supra with a 6spd. Even though its "40"Hp less. We all know those engines are highly under rated.
The thing is people are swapping the Z1 turbos into these cars and making 700HP for relatively cheap in comparison to buying a super car or hyper car. In another words this car is highly tunable. At this point it's really which do you prefer. For me I prefer the Z styling any day over the Supra, that being said still love the Supra overall.

@@Unxpektedi don’t think stock redsport turbos are going to hold 700whp. I think you’re confusing Z1’s new turbos for the vr30 that are pushing those numbers. Add that to the 67k price tag and possible dealer markups. The Supra makes much more sense but i love the styling of the Nismo Z more. Also the Supra has the 6 speed now so it’s going to take away a lot of customers from Nissan
@@IPL_VIC check out Zillaboost, he's the one who swapped the Red Sport turbos and is planning on making roughly 700hp. I'll double check with the owner but I am aware of the Z1 turbos. Also AMS has I believe an 800 HP Z running 9's.

I’ve owned multiple Z’s and have currently owned my 370Z Nismo for almost 10 years. That said I wouldn’t buy this car for the price especially after dealer Markup.
Yeah as much as I love this Z I'd have to give serious consideration to the new Corvette at this price point. Or even a couple other alternatives.

Just bought this exact car in the same color. Got it at MSRP. I'm coming from a 718 Boxster GTS and let me tell you, this Nissan Z Nismo feels every bit as fast. I will be honest, at first I was kinda hesitant to pay 68k for a "Nissan" but I quickly got over that once I realized how rare this car will be, the performance (3.9 sec to 60) and how beautiful and reliable it will be! I plan on keeping it forever!

Nissan was having trouble staying in business. Without Renault, they may have ended production. The unique issue is Renault doesn't sell their vehicles in the US. The Z car will be extremely limited production. Looking at the 2022's sales figures shows only 177 were sold, while dealers added massive markups on their limited inventory. Nissan is discontinuing their Maxima, Altima, and Versa with their replacements becoming EVs. Building this Z car doesn't add up being their only remaining Ice car that's overpriced from dealer greed because you'll likely pay well over the $66,000 price tag. You mentioned Supra sales. In 2021 they sold 6830. In 2022 sales dropped to 4952. For 2023 YTD sales are 1912. Without sales that create corporate profits along with the push toward EVs. It's extremely difficult keeping these cars on the automotive market.

Great view & intake on the Nismo Z. Bottom line, you have to really want this car if you're a Nissan fanatic. For that price I would shop around before making that decision.
Glad that Nissan made it but two seats and 3,700 lbs for that $$. In two years I’ve only seen one new Z so we have any sales figures yet?
I think I read that it was around 1,800 sales in 17 months.
Looks cool just wish it was priced better. Maybe around 55k would be something to consider but 67k is ridiculous.

As others have said, beautiful review. As awesome as this color scheme and exterior look, you did marvelously at pointing out the numerous shortcomings without dwelling on any of them. Owned and exclusively driven the 350z and 370z roadsters since 2010 and unfortunately the interior is almost identical to just those 2 previous models, so I won't even consider the Nismo. A convertible version would have been tempting but at probably 30k more than my 370,....nope. Sweet look though.
It’s a LOT more money than the 370z! I had a 300zx twin turbo many years ago and love the z cars, but I just can’t get past the stupid looking gas gauge in the 370z. If I could change that aftermarket, I would get a 370z today!

I lived in Japan when Akebono was the most popular Sumo wrestler. That is funny as heck they named their brakes of him.
The seats in my Nissan Juke NISMO RS were incredible. (A recaro sportster CS or similar I recall). These seats are very similar so I expect them to be just as good. My 2018 STI limited seats SUCKKKK in comparison, you are all over the place. Another thing, is I found them extremely comfortable even on long journey's, so I fully expect these to be the same. Overall the car looks a little nicer, and I'd definitely be interested... but again... once you get to these prices... you should be considering a Porsche.
We got the new supra, and the new Z, now the only thing is missing is the RX7/8
which one do you like better? I also had a 2022 Supra 3.0 and now I have the 2024 Nissan z Nismo. Supra seems to be slightly faster but I like the Nismo better because its a true Japanese car and I think it looks better and has more soul.
I want to see this vs the 1st generation year of the "new" gtr back in like 2006 or 2007 or is it in 2009 the smowest year after no launch control. Might be a close race.

The Look: So much better than the square grill.
The Price: Way too high, can get a base C8 Corvette with near to 500hp and a much better DCT auto for the same price, or a 650hp ZL1 Camaro.
The lack of manual: complete shame. This is sacrificing half of the driving enjoyment for an incredibly small amount of lap/QM time, in a car priced against much faster competition. So if you want lap times or quarter mile times, you'd buy a similarly priced Camaro, Mustang, Corvette, M2, Supra, on and on. Worse all of those cars (Corvette stopping at the C7) have an optional manual transmission, and are STILL FASTER.
The Front Calipers are said to be 6 pistons and not 4 pistons as stated in the video.
We’re pretty certain we heard Nissan say it was still a 4-piston front caliper. They just enlarged the rotor by about an inch and put higher friction pads on it.
Had I not bought a bmw supra already, it definitely would have been a tough decision between this or the bmw (assuming the hype died down a bit after a few years and jacked up prices are tamed a bit).
Gear heads will likely extract more power from the engine, but nice a manufacturer doesent do the hp game but focus on drivebility

Love this car! It basically has the same engine as my daily driver Q50 Hybrid, minus the Turbos. They should add a 100 HP electric Hybrid motor to rocket this car off the line and improve the MPG.
Umm no its not. This has a 3.0. Youur hybrid has a 3.5
It will only rocket off the line if they put that motor in the front because that won't change the 0-60 that much. Because of traction limitations.
No you have the vq35hr, the ones that are in 350z and g35 and the q50 hybrids . The q50 hybrid is very fast tho !

I've seen zero new Z's on the road in the DMV area - I see a Supra once every great while - Many newer BMW M cars and Mustangs/Camaro's/Challengers.
I've found a dealership that is offering msrp with NO add-on prices and are willing to work the prices out even lower. The state and city will surprise you 😉

I have a 45th Anniversary Edition Supra -- and I think the Supra is better overall... HOWEVER, no rivalry here! I'm just happy there's still a few more petrol powered, accessible sports cars still out there.

The increase in speed with the automatic in either the Nizmo, or the Z Performance trim package , does not compensate for the thrill of driving a manual 6 speed in a car like this, so few people even understand what a joy it is to drive stick, technology can suck

I know reviewers are mad that there's no manual, but I'm glad cars like the Z still exist, especially in the time of CROSSOVERS 🤢🤢. Nissan should really sell their sports cars directly to consumers without any dealerships.
Why does it seem like that whenever they come so close to making a perfect car for its segment, every single manufacturer skimps somewhere in some unnecessary places. All the money and dope ideas that went into this nismo design and they couldn’t put some brembos, and that key fob was the one they used on the 1st generation of remote starting
I wanted to love this. I’m an owner of a 2013 Pearl White 370z Nismo and I was waiting for the Z Nismo to see if I wanted to trade in for the new one but honestly the VHR platform has the higher performance potential and For what they’re asking for the new Nismo I can twin turbo my Nismo upgrade the diff and it would run circles around the new Z and all in i would be no where near the almost 70k asking price. The weight, the automatic, and the price kills this for me unfortunately. Very cool car but they've priced themselves to be in the company with some very compelling cars C8, Supra, Dark Horse, new M2, used C7 Z06, GT350, the list goes on.
Yuppppp. If you don’t wanna go too crazy get the super charger kit from z1 that doesn’t even need a different manifold now. Easily makes 550whp which is reliable for the vhr and shit woood blow away those vr30

However let’s not pretend that mod for mod this wouldn’t wipe the floor with a vhr. Most vhr people don’t go far above 600whp for extended periods with stock bottom end. To get that you have to buy a turbo or supercharger kit that’s not cheap. These cars will hold that no problem I’m sure. These have already been running 10s with basic boltons. Let’s stop bashing the car just because we don’t want to pay for the stealerships price hikes.

How is that true? It's so damn expensive to boost the 370Z, stock the base model Z with new tires and a tune (no bolt ons) run 11's. I know guys with 25k engine mods running 11's in the Z34. I don't think you're right on this one man.

I've seen guys blow the VHR with minimal power not to say it costs upwards of 12-15k to boost the car. You can spend a few thousand and get the new Z in the 10's. Hell there is a guy running 11 flat with a tune/new tires and no bolt ons. I've seen 370Z with FBO running high 12's and that's so much money dumped in the motor.

Being able to stay out of boost with smart gearing, better aerodynamics and less weight.
Nissan is perhaps following Toyota's footsteps, sell autos first & then come out with the manual for those extra sales.
The price will kill this thing. Between the Supra and hell a mustang dark horse there are mush better options
Definitely isn't the most track ready. If they were serious it should have done the following from the performance grade. A drop of 200lbs, horsepower bump of 100hp, choice of 6mt or 9AT. Functional brake ducting and track ready oil coolers.
A FORD Raptor with a twin turbo V6 gets almost the same 0-60mph times.

15 psi? Man the base z has 14.7 psi, Nissan should’ve either pushed the psi to 17psi, or upgraded the turbos for better fbos and a tune.
For that price they’re creeping into C8 Corvette territory..
Thing is you can make huge power with this platform for relatively cheap. Swap Red Sport turbos in, injectors, add more breathing, tune, etc. you'll be making 700hp. With the right tires you'll be pulling on a C8.

It’s .4 seconds slower than an suv (bmw x6m competition) and bout the same top speed +/- 5mph.. I know it’s a much different tax bracket and all that but seriously it should be faster than a 5000lbs suv
