Vigilante 8 2nd Offense: All Secret Weapon Combos

- Edit: Two of the cannon combos are slightly wrong my bad, it's supposed to be DOWN, UP for both the Cow Puncher and Ricochet Combos not UP, DOWN. There's a Gamepad in the bottom left which shows my inputs. Too lazy to re-edit this and I forgot to save so whoops.
I remember a few people asking for a video like this one and there are others that do exist, the quality of them are...questionable. So I said fuck it and made this within a day. I tried to keep it simple and just use text instead of talking like most of my videos, I'll dump a few extra things in this desc. that I didn't put in the video.
- Secret Weapon Combos refer to the four button inputs used to create special shots from standard weapons, these can be used to distract, disable or destroy your opponent. These inputs are always 3 directions on the D-Pad and then the Machine Gun button.
- The directional inputs for each weapon stay the same per weapon, for example, the mortar combos always start with down, down while the Missile combos always begin with Up, Up. Every weapon has 3 combos.
- Every weapon also has a combo that uses a varying amount of ammo, such as Missile Swarm, Buckshot, Cactus Patch etc.
- This video also covers the basics of each weapon to give you a better idea how they work without the combo inputs.
- This video does not cover multi-weapon combinations that I refer to in my speed runs, that I'll go over in a separate video another time
- I used Chase in this video because of this Hard Time Special, it allowed me to set up the inputs easier and my target was Molo because he has one of the largest hit boxes and doesn't have a long range special like Convoy or Cultsmen.

The fact that this game has any terrain deformation is amazing.
I remember getting so excited whenever I activated one of these by accident during gameplay, I never knew how to use them until a few years later.. my god they were so much fun to use! Especially the crater maker.

I'm surprised you didn't show off how the bastion rockets worked. They go after anything that homes in on you and destroys them. For the most part. You ought t use machinegun more to destroy projectiles coming your way. Good stuff.
I never used the combo so I actually didn't know that's how they worked lmao. Also I was more focusing on the weapons so I didn't really care about shooting down projectiles.
@@TheRealDownUnder if you're still in on doing V8 vids you could showcase all the stage interactables. Set the code sightseeing and just show off stuff so people don't miss out. Think I might dust off my disc and try a new glitch video.
Oh, is that what they do? I'd always assumed the combo's defining property was just to volley enemies with a sudden trio of bullseye rockets to the face(similar to the bruiser cannon's burst shot).
Even so, I find it kinda pointless given that you can shoot the enemy's homing projectiles with your machine gun before they reach you anyway. It's much more practical.
@@morale.9330 bastion can target all homing projectiles. and your machine gun cant destroy everything like a mortar which comes from above. it can destroy rockets and missiles but the placement of your machine gun matters or else the hit boxes wont line up. its not worth trying when bastion is a guaranteed counter that can hit up to 3 different homing projectiles simultaneously.
@@MasterOfTruck Does it work on Nina's Lemming Missiles too? Or does it only work in destroying conventional weaponry(i.e. interceptor missiles, bruiser cannon shots, mortor shells, etc...)?

@@TheRealDownUnder ahh. I stumbled upon all of these. I played alot of fighter games like tekken, mk, sf, etc. And would press combos and happened upon these. They need to remake this game
