arm length is correct as far as looking like Chadwick Boseman. i originally thought medicom made the arms too long too until i look at comparisons of how the actor look like. really impressed with medicom to actually model it after the actor in terms of proportions.
Arms length is actually about right for Boseman (& aligns with his proportions in Wakanda fight scenes in IW & his entrance from the portal in Endgame) so all the gripes re: the length in this video are pretty much meaningless. The head sculpt also looks pretty HQ to me & the skin tone being a bit lighter than it should be isn't a big deal for me as it trashes all the comparables shown in the video IMO. The best 1:12 scale Black Panther issued to-date, by far, IMO. Thanks for the review.

He actually have long arms in all the movies, I believe this version is more movie accurate than any other action figure other than hot toys, shf is super built. And head sculpt is better than any other brand

I actually think he was fine - i just wish he was legends height. Little butt hurt the Comic Spider-man came out and it was dope, a little short, but dope - then deadpool came out in full scale - then BP and Venom come out feeling short... I love their figures - but please do comic/legends scale for everything.

@@MaSoisSoful just don't listen to the critics they are just jealous coz they can't change their shf BP to mafex. I've got no issues at all with my BP I've been buying mafex but their only problem are Spiderman's legs. Just make sure to pour hot water first if it's hard enough to move the legs in order not to break.
Holds up great. Mafex seems to still be hit and miss(latest comic Spidey, Wolverine) but this figure is solid. I’ve had him in a kneeling pose with his hand on the ground and that wrist peg is nice and strong. Other than wanting another pair of aggressive hands, the figure is perfect.
The Mafex figure is the most accurate. But I'm unusually biased towards it's SHF counterpart. I'm not a fan of how Chadwick Boseman looks like in the suit, I prefer Black Panther to be a bit bulkier, his habit in Infinity looks like a normal halloween costume, not in quality, but in thickness due to there being no pading. SHF just has my favorite mask shape, and the right amount of matte finish on a reasonably built figure.
Southern Perspective actually his arms being “too long” is accurate. Bozeman has long arms . Look at Endgame when he coming through the portal. Mafex nailed the proportions of the actor.
Damn, was really looking forward to this one. Limbs seem too slender and abdomen has a slight beer gut- lol. Also standard head seems too elongated- maybe alternate heads look better in it?
Cool review, as always. My own two gripes with the figure.... 1. He is SO slender. Dammit. If they just bulked him up a bit it would look much more accurate to how he was in the films. You can tell that the suit is armour, and it gives T'Challa some mean muscle. 2. The upper torso cut....it just looks really meh, almost cheap, and reminds me if some of the worse cuts you see for upper torso joints, like Marvel Select and Marvel legends. The way the upper torso cut is done, on the SHF for example, looks better, and more natural, and is cut so as to show some of the ribs and accentuate the upper musculature. If only we lived in a perfect world, eh.
I think the arms seem like an issue (even though they're accurate) because of how small the figure is overall. If they'd kept the proportions the same but just made the figure larger I think it would probably look okay if not great

As a lerpy athlete I applaud Mafex's arm sculpt. It looks realistic. Stocky, mesomorphic, muscle-chunked body types are so unrealistic.

It's not just the arms, the HANDS apart from the fists are super long too, which makes it a lot worse.
The proportions are all over the place on this figure which is strange since I usually appreciate Mafex's aesthetic.
The actual wingspan of Chadwick Boseman is quite long so the arms length is pretty spot on tbh
