You should do a video on running in between the hurdles. When I was hurdling, my coach really never talked about that, and so when I got to a point where the hurdles were coming to fast, it was hard for me to adjust. I would watch Allen Johnson’s World Championship race against Lui Xang and try my best to visualize myself running like him during that race😂, but watching him run, is where I started to notice a cadence. When I’d ask my coach about it and tell him my challenge his response and resolution to the challenge was to get up and down and run faster🤷🏿♂️.
I’d love to see you break down like, lets say your trail arm is going wide, or lagging behind how would you break that down and correct it throughout practice and what sort of things would your coach be looking for as well to fix that
If you ever went through a transitional period from 8-stepping to 7-stepping over the first hurdle, insight on that would be super helpful. I’m at the point where a full effort 8-step feels completely unmanageable, but a 7-step feels like I’m very much overstriding. Strange feeling
Try sticking with 8 steps but drive for the first 3 then turn over and accelerate through the hurdle!! That should give you space to clear the hurdle better
The rhythm between the hurdles. I don't know but after my injury. I haven't been the same. I stutter step a lot. Maybe it is more mental than anything else.
How to speed up the follow through of the trail leg, and how to force the lead leg back to the ground after clearing the hurdle.

Got you I’ll definitely try and get to that topic because I think a lot of hurdlers probably have struggled with that

I would also love to know some drills to help me increase my trail leg follow through speed!
Coming soon for sure!!

It very well could be a mental block but it also could simply be strength! Definitely something to talk with your coach about
How to strengthen and increase mobility in hip flexors
Lead leg does and donts…..example, is it ok to extend the lead leg out straight while going over hurdle?
Jump over 375 hurdles
What would you say is a difference between a hurdler that goes low 13 to one that runs 14’s (in 110’s)?
I think the biggest difference is one attacks the hurdle and one is jumping over them! There may be other factors but that’s a big one
