Jetta S starts at $20k but this is one trim up and the best one to have for the money. The Jetta Sport trim starts with the features of the S trim. It adds 17-inch black aluminum wheels, an electronically controlled locking differential, black exterior trim, a black headliner, and exclusive cloth seats. It's another $1k for the safety tech I think. Dollar for dollar total cost of ownership is hard to come close to Corolla and Civic but this does it because resale value for these are strong; a rare quality for an entry-level car in the USA.

Amazing fuel economy and features for the price.

Only thing it is missing is a spare tire kit, but I sourced it locally on mine. The Sport really is the best bang for the buck of the Jetta line.

Looking to trade in my Sentra for a “new” 2024 Jetta 1.5T Sport with the 8 speed auto. Local VW dealer brought the $23.9k MSRP to $21k for me but was offering too low for my Sentra so I didn’t take it. But if one offers me a good amount for the Sentra, I’d take it.

How is the 8 speed in stop and go traffic? Any clunking, hard shifts, etc?

Is possible that my jetta sport has push start button? Im confused because the buyers offer I signed has push start engine. But all the reviews I have seen it doesnt have..

Are you from Canada? Canadian version has the push start button, wireless charging pad, vegan leather seats and ambient lighting which they don't have in the States.

158 horsepower through a turbo is freaking lame, you do not need a turbo for that little horsepower better to buy a Mazda 3 with a naturally-aspirated 2.5 engine that puts 191 horsepower and 186 torque

Na man it kicks, coming to this from a 220hp vw cc, it’d say it could probably lose to the Jetta, it pulls really hard in the 3k+rpm range

      @@colehaines4392 that's a big comparison I don't know about that LOL

I sorta agree, however the VW has an 8 speed, mazda 6 speed, that is a big difference for power ration.

i have a 24 mazda3, and the jetta sport has more get up. the transmission in the mazda is slow and clunky. instant torque off the line in the jetta.
