Did you know that in Finland when you graduate with your PhD you need to get a hat and sword! The Doctoral Sword, a civilian ceremonial sword, goes back to 1840 and “is a symbol for the scientist’s fight for what he or she, in rigorous research, has found to be good, right and true” writes the University of Oulu in Finland. I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in the USA, but I still wanted a Finnish Doctoral Sword…so I ordered one!

Nice one! Considering the hat. It is hand made but the measurements are also made for your head only. There are "measurement times/events" in universities 🙂Device that the use for measurement is called "conformateur"
