As its a german car service cost will be bit higher comparatively other cars, also fuel economy is not that great, the common issues are as follows,
1.Ignition coil failure
2.Fuel injector failure
3.fuel pump module or related parts failure
4.air intake system related sensors or wire damage.
5.super charger failure if not maintained well.
6. Timing and valve train system failure, due to improper service.

Check air intake and emission system for any unusual issue, and fuel delivery system as well. How's the condition of clutch?
