- Im riding to Australia's Most Remote Roadhouse! The Ilklurkla Roadhouse! This roadhouse is located 550km east of laverton, in the middle of the desert, the victorian desert! This will be my only fuel stop on the Anne Beadell Highway! From here on its almost 800km to the next town! Note that this track has been done by me a few months ago, but due to some shocking circumstances i wasnt able to upload! Keep watching for more!

Did that trip a few years ago, but went east to west. Cost us $650 fo fill our 2 cars. Had a great shower in the little shed there. Still have the beanie I bought there. We saw 2 other cars along the track in 6 days. Great stuff.
Oh wow! Fuel prices are insane there, yet understandable as it's so remote......
This vid came into my you tube feed so i watched it and was intrigued.
So after binge watching all your videos from the first episode to this one now, all I can say is WOW! you're a true adventurer in every sense of the word.
Your cinematography and editing is excellent and makes the viewing a pleasure.

What size bladders are they? Any good?
Lekker man
Bedankt voor het kijken! waardeer het!
Nice video as always. Very interesting fact about the OPAL fuel as well. Where does that station operator live? He doesn't stay at the roadhouse so where does he go when he is not there? Does he operate multiple roadhouses?
Hey teun, Thanks againfor watching! Yes it is isnt it? The fuel is simillair but diffrent, The roadhouse operator, Mick lives in a house adjecent to the roadhouse, he flies in and out every few weeks and switches places whit another operator. Although it isnt only the roadhouse he has got to manage, there is a number of tasks that need to be taken care of out there, repairing and maintaining the roadhouse, its buildings and ammenities like wells, pumps, showers, tanks, etc. Also he needs to maintain the runway, Yes most of these extreme remote towns and roadhouses have there own airfstrip! He only operates this roadhouse, and flies in and out to the adjecent aboriginal community, wich is also a few hundred km away! Thanks for watching again! Stay tuned for more :)
And next the “fun” part 🤔
Hey! Thanks for watching greg, i believe the bladders are 2x8Litre, and 1x 19 litre! So far there good, however they lose a bit of fuel over time, so take that in concideration when selecting youre fuel storage solution!
I remember it used to be Rabbit Flat roadhouse, good times. Went there in 07
Hey kurtis, thats in the tanami isnt it? There sealing that up now the tanimi track!
@@Adventure_Fever yeah man it is, and unfortunately they are, slowly. i went there around june 2022 and maybe 1/5 of its sealed now. once its sealed its gonna be caravan central... i like to refer to places like the tanami desert as caravan filters, way too rough for them, and good riddens. just buy a swag and roll it out, dont bring in ur bloody 100k caravan. i hate going to places around uluru now, the roads in/out and all caravans. it's quite a shame really, thats the last stretch of road thats remote. once the tanami is sealed people will start commercialising it and before you know it souvenir shops will be everywhere. a great shame in my eyes. anyway that was a long tangent, i like your videos so ill be subscribing
@@Adventure_Fever i sent a reply here a day ago but youtube deleted it, yeah it is! i wish they wouldnt seal it :( sealing roads means its not remote anymore, at least in my eyes
O wow, i didnt see any replies mate sorry, i try to respond to each one! But yeah i agree, bitumen means less adventure!..... if youre up for great adventures? Eat some dirt hehe ;)
@@Adventure_Fever hahah 100% mate, and the dirt roads usually keep the pesky caravanners away! 😂 not long before the tanami because caravan city unfortunately
Hey get ride of weight every little bit helps. No shovel and try using soft luggage its way lighter and wont break your leg if you put your legs down in the sand.
You can buy a bigger front tyre as well. I have one and also went tubliss wow the difference will help in the sand. I dont use it as at 68 getting old for this stuff . Contact me if you want it
Hea true, the less weight the better, however tubless tires i wouldnt go for..... Spoked wheels are a lot stronger, and the usually come whit tubes in em, also it is much more versatile if you have punctures.....
tubliss is where you keep the spoked rim and insert a high pressure seal against the rim to seal. I used this for my gunbarrel highway trip. The big tyre is a Chang Shin
@@2906ry never heared of that! Im gonna look in to it..... sounds like a good one, how do they hold up whit lower pressures? I have tubed tires whit a rimlock atm.
Erg afgelegen maar goed gepland.
Australiës meest afgelegen en remote 4wd track! Zeker erg afgelegen!
Watch for washouts
Own yes! Plenty of them around! And the worst part is, you only see them coming when you're already on top of them! Thanks for watching mate! Stay tuned!
You crazy man Luke, good to see you are getting time to load these vids up. Hope you are doing well, I'll make contact again soon mate
Hehe, thanks for watching again glenn! Appreciate it mate!
I would argue that the Kunawarritji Store on the Canning is the most remote it offers Fuel, food and accommodation ..it is 625km from Billiluna and near 942km from Wiluna via the CSR
I have looked at this to, this is a ancient discussion in australia, wich roadhouse is truly the most remote. I personally think this one is, due to the small amount of visitors it anually gets.
Thanks for watching again mate! appreciate it!
@@Adventure_Feveri guess maybe least visited but maybe not furthest from things ...having been to Kunawarritjii by bicycle i can say it seems so far from anything since its not on an actual road just a track !!
Damn, on a bycicle...... Thats rough as guts
Thanks for watching and keeping an eye oit for me again mate, appreciate it
