Hey little Fox, I love your videos and reaction's, and you are so, sooo cute and sweet little thing to me.🥰😊😇 Much love, respect, and best wishes from Serbia, Balkans.🍀🌹😊😇😎🇷🇸
You always get way more of those little details than the usual reactors.
🤘🏻😎
Thanķ you for always coming back to watch the videos
@@EvyTheFox it's always nice when someone is on the same level and understands those little hints they had placed.
A Rammstein song is always like a motion picture by David Lynch only compressed in few minutes. So it's nothing for those who just watch it without really paying attention or for those who aren't able to read between the lines.
Yeah. She's really analyzing videos..not just reacting to them. I love this about her videos..especially the Rammstein ones :)
like she was wrong with the "wrong" subtitels casue she missintrepretended something?
You come across as someone who is actually informed about the topic at hand. I've watched a few of these reaction clips, and you provide more insights than most, and in a more intellectual way than I have seen prior. Well done to you!
Another winner Evy - thanks again for the Euro perspective - you are almost always spot-on sign this analysis on the fly - love the historical info and helps pool understand the depth of Rammstein... they are indeed multi-layered and we appreciate them even more with your comments.
Thank you so much, glad u appreciate it
Helps “more” understand… not “pool”. , do not know where that came from! Sorry
Dang, you changed my whole perspective on this one. Always impressed by your history knowledge and sharp view on details.
Every reaction is a pleasure, hope you will continue one day 🖤😎🤘
Another great historical and general insight into the song lyrics and video 🦊. You have taught me to listen more to lyrics of songs 😊
That was a great reaction...you provide a deeper understanding of the video....thanks.
Thank you so much, i appreciate your comment!
I'm quite impressed, you even understand russian :D great reaction, greetings from Germany!
thank you! i actually studied Russian in evening school for a few years. my russian is with a terrible accent and im not a fluent speaker at all, but i understand most basics and can read it
You have the best background to make these reactions an experience. Rarely that you get so much valuable information, although I thought I already knew everything. Thank you very much.
Heard this song from Rammsteins latest album but haven´t the time to dive deeper into the meaning of it.
Thanks to your reaction and with commenting to all these details it shows me the depth meanings of it.
One again thx for your time to do such a good reaction and analysis.
Your historical knowledge impresses. Especially for one so young. Clearly you must have a good education, or an inquiring mind, or maybe both.
i'm a story person, and i love to know things, learn about places i go to, or watch documentaries about histrorical stories. knowledge makes one grow as a person in my opinion
@@EvyTheFox You are correct.
@@EvyTheFox if I was rich, I would probably spend most of my time watching documentaries lmao

Keep doing your thing lass :D

Awesome analogy well done, loving your Rammstein reactions thanks 🙏
Thankyou
Thank you for sharing this, you broke it down perfectly.
And again Evy, a fantastic reaction I realy enjoy to watch your reactions to Rammstein
Thank you so much!
There is also the explanation that the song is about Rammstein when they perform at concerts and speak (and sing) all these languages.
A new Rammstein reaction 👍🏻👍🏻 Evy you know what we want 😊
you guys are super nice, and the videos are just super good, so i had to, especially since ive been away for a week x)
@@EvyTheFox I hope the fair in Nürnberg was fruitful and you enjoyed yourvstay in our country. 😊
Your review gives me the idea that since Rammstein likes to leave multiple meanings to their video and song, I do believe that this song has to do with general European conquest of foreign lands they believed were not civilised, pretending to come in peace and or trade but only acquire whatever resources they require and then leave while various heinous acts may have taken place in between. However I think the lyrics and the later half of the video also explains it may even be about sex tourism of some who even procreate but leave abruptly ? We still have many exotic Caribbean (on the Atlantic) and other islands on the Pacific like the Philippines where Europeans still go for sex tourism
Great reaction, I love history, love the insight you bring to Rammstein videos, they are deep, make you think, thank you!
thank you so much! thats what im aiming for and im glad people are experiencing that
It’s so cool you can hear the small stuff in a song that most don’t know. Knowledge is so cool.
Great analysis 👍🏼
I always loved this band, but lately this was my new discovery even if it's an old sound, I'm addicted to it
I also noticed at 8:29 the ivory trade that took place as well. You see in the picture how they have multiple elephant tusks and horns of other animals showing how they came to Africa and poached many into extinction
Really good analysis on this one! You got a lot of historical knowledge.
Thank you
Great reaction, you are showing off your history knowledge again, and I love it! ^_^
But doesn't "mon cherie" mean "my cherry"?
mon cherie is my dear/my love in french. Cherry in french is actually cerise and not cherie
@@EvyTheFox Oh, ok, thank you
I could imagine that the scene in which we see the priest and at the same time receive a comment, which is most likely uttered by this very person, is aimed at the re-education of children in European colonies. There they speak of "I forced myself". What is possibly meant is the coercion with which the colonialists and the religious missionaries who followed them re-educated and missionised the indigenous population.
Hahaha, The Lions had a funky time. Nice paraphrase. :D I live close to the netherlands border. So I learned Dutch. The biggest problem is our pride. We dont want to say something wrong, so we dont use the other language.
excellent video I love your reactions greetings
thank you!
you're welcome and long live rock 🤘🤘🖤
Beautiful, insightful analysis! The only thing I'd like to add: This kind of reception of white Rammstein is only possible against a background of a local, suppressive patriarchy. I do not mean that to excuse anything - just as a caveat not to romanticize tratitional cultures.
such a good interpretation!
Thank you
You are so educated and your take on this is amazing. From Pittsburgh Pennsylvania I thank you.
Thank you!

You are right with 100%.
I think this also describes many modern day western tourists and their atitude. I wonder if the mixing of cultures and genes is meant as a positive message after all, besides all prejudges we share things if we want or not, visiting other countries.
People have already commented on the serious stuff so… who else is going to be left behind but Flake. 😂 he’s kinda become something of the comic relief of the band.
Haha yeah people love to discuss serious things here haha
@@EvyTheFox it is because we all admire and respect the deep historical knowledge you have at such an young age. I just though I’ll be the silly one as I just always have to talk about Flake. Lol 😂
No sé por qué no tienes casí suscriptores, son excelentes tus reacciones y la historia que sabes. Saludos de México.
Was refreshing to see the various variables that you stopped super quick.
I would also say that there is a contrast with our modern time, where people tries to migrate to Europe. I see it as a critic to our current times.
I foud it interesting the way they use to travel the sea, the don´t come with a ship or anything like that, they use what people is using to cross the Mediterranean
very late, but i am not sure if you noticed it; after the second verse/chorus, there is a laugh sound over the music, and the "priest" is holding a small african child on his lap while laughing. this also goes with what you said about european priests going to their colonies to abuse children
Great Reaction. 👍
This Song is about lindemann /rammstein on Tour. Language and 2 houre concert....
hey, i didnt even think about that interpertation.
Really good Reaction Video and it's so cool, your Knowledge of the History of Germany 👍

You nailed it again. You fascinate me with your knowledge at all. Fascinating person. I especially find it kind of interesting, by the way, that Till at the end switches the right German sentences into such ones, that someone with only a little knowledge of it would say..."Du kommen mit, ich dir machen gut" is said without conjugating the verbs and with disranging the word order. In my opinion this breaks down the video to what Rammstein want to tell with it. It's everything just about abusing and spreading the seeds into the foreign culture. There was no other intention from the beginning, but f**king around and pissing off after. Rammstein are masters in wording...
..spot on!
thank you for checking yet another video out! def appreciate it
@@EvyTheFox ..no! ..Thank YOU, for creating them!

I like your insights in history but it fascinates me sometimes, that belgium got off pretty easy through history in regards what they did for example in their colonies like congo; the general view is, that cute little belgium can't hurt anyone.
this is 100000% true and accurate! let's see if we find a song related to the topic so we can address that.
@@EvyTheFox Have you ever read the Tintin comics Evy? The second one was "Tintin in the Congo" which of course was "The Belgian Congo".
@@petercollingwood522 yes ofc i know that one! They tried hard to get it banned for racism and big hunting glorification. Fun fact, its actually called Kuifje in my language instead of TinTin x)

At the end he's seen as the king till these days even if the colonies are independant, the colonialists (france germany uk) are stil controling who is at the head of their government. Even last week Macron who is hated by the french people was welcomed like a king in cameroun.

Nice reaction and nice interpretation :). I actually feel blessed to understand them, they're are so fun and sick in many ways. Please check out "mann gegen mann", not a lot of reactions, for whatever reason, it's fucking sweet music wise and the music video as you would expect 😂
2:13 A bunch? You can't really say that Germany had a lot a BUNCH of colonies.
For the French, the the Spanish and the Portugiese, but not for the Germans.
They had the fewest of all, and very little overall.
Making a satire out of it is the only way to deal with racism.
it was the motif of the refugee boat that framed the music video. Because it starts with Rammstein arriving on an island in a rubber dinghy and it ends with all the band members leaving the island on the rubber dinghy, with the exception of Flake, who is first forgotten and then held back.
Which is a lot of cliché, fits damn well with the lyrics of the song and the associated meta level. Because: On a lyrical level, the song is clear. It's about globality instead of nationality. About the German cosmopolitan traveling abroad. About the German globetrotter as an enemy. About someone who wants to impress the ladies in foreign countries with pseudo-worldly gibberish.
This is exactly what they wanted to emphasize by using authentic materials on both sides, as explained further in the making-of video. For example, Flake's (historical) silk suit still said "Deutsch-Südwest-Afrika", a German colony in what is now Namibia.
Arriving on the island, the white colonialists give Rammstein to a tribe of black natives. And they don't leave out any clichés.
germany colonies in africa
The German colonial empire included parts of today's People's Republic of China, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Namibia, Cameroon, Gabon, Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Chad, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Papua New Guinea, and several islands in the western Pacific and Micronesia.
Thank you for this informative comment!

Thank You, very well done. Hope you react Nightwish "Weak Fantasy" lyric video Tampere live. It is good quality audio and video.
To me, the club music synths and beat tie the historical colonialism to the modern form of travelers backpacking around countries ohne kondom treating locals in much the same way.
Yes, let's criticize sex tourism. I love Flake (the thin guy) he is always so funny.
You should do a reaction to Zick-Zack also, it is about beauty surgery and has a hilarious video.
Thiis is not about cruel Belgian colonialism in Africa but about todays immigration to Europe i was told
nice voice
I see the song as a little trick. In German, the word "Ausländer" unfortunately has a very negative connotation. Having everyone sing "Ich bin Ausländer" at their concert is clever, considering that Rammstein was accused of playing with right-wing symbolism at the beginning of their career and some "fans" from this corner still don't want to admit it that the opposite is the truth. Because we are all foreigners, no matter which country we go to. Even if we travel for sex tourism. In terms of content, "Ausländer" is a sequel to "Pussy", which was even more controversial and also plays with sex tourism. I also think they use exactly the languages in the chorus where they are most popular (Russia, US/UK, France, Italy, Latin America/Spain). So the fact that the video and the lyrics are different is not really true. The video only uses a historical perspective while the lyrics are more topical than ever. Thanks for your history insights and your very cool view at those videos and songs, keep rockin!
Thank you for this super interesting comment!
@@EvyTheFox You're welcome! I would really like to see your reaction to the official videos of "Mein Teil" and/or "Stripped" and "Links 2 3 4". The last two ones are not as spectacular as "Deutschland" or "Zeit" but the meanings could fit your channel (and not really many reactors tried these two). "Mein Teil" is dark as fuck, one of my favorites:)
Flake is always...best ending))
well, apperently this is a Rammstein thing? im not aware of it but the comment came by a few times
On the painting: Not only was it a caricature emphasizing the breasts, I could not see a mouth at all. So, yeah, the idea is complete objectification of the woman while denying her a voice. And that would be yet another outcome of post-colonial societies.
Very good reaction. Pls react to Rammstein - Zick Zack. Its another very good and controversial music video of the new album
thank you! Zick Zack is def on the list for future videos
I’m pretty sure the song is about being a world traveler/world class player/ pimp/ ladies man. But get lost in the visuals if you prefer. Nerds😂
Pretty good analysis, but I think you missed one point. The song is not just about criticising history. It is also a synical mocking of white european people and their attitudes and stereotypes towards african people. It is about postcolonial structures that are still reality. The song, the lyrics, the pronounciation and the acting are full of disgust towards white arrogance and supremacy thinking which still boils underneath the surface of economy. And I think it is also about especially german double morality towards foreigners (Ausländer), because the term "Ausländer" is mostly negatively connotated, for example in case of Neonazi paroles like "Ausländer raus!" ("Foreigners out!"). Rammstein shows us that while travelling around the world, we are also foreigners in the countries we are visiting and are arrogant enough to think that everyone there is ok with this and likes us for visiting their country. So it´s also about selfreflection about our attitudes towards other countries, their languages, cultures and especially people. We think we are so well educated while speaking different languages, but in the end we are just arrogant and ignorant towards the people we are visiting. We come as guests but behave like conquerors.
This song is just about Kazanova
The lyrics in this really have nothing to do with the video, the lyrics are just about being on tour, meeting groupies and/or impressing other women with the few words he knows in their language and then leaving after a couple of hours to get to the next tour location.
They decided to have a bit of fun with the video on top, obviously it evokes colonialism, but in a weird "modern themepark" kinda way. They arrive in a modern rubber dingy, are greeted by a guy with signs welcoming them in english/german/french etc. Imo its a commentary not on past colonial practices, but on modern "primitive tourism" with these tribal villages filled with actors pretending to actually live there you can visit. Or teens paying to go "volunteer" in developing countries after school, but its all a scam with anything they help build or anything they gift kids at orphanages taken away after they leave so the kids look properly sad and poor when the next group arrives. Or rather obviously, with the hunting scene, people paying alot of money to go trophy hunt endangered species in african nature reserves. I think they kept most imagery (the bands clothing, guns and vehicles) contemporary for actual colonial times, to kinda juxtapose the then and now. You could read that as asking "have things really changed that much?" ie Neocolonialism.
But overall the whole thing doesnt go too deep into any commentary, its pretty lighthearted just like the song is much more "party" than serious.
Yes, that's true. The director has decided to move it to the colonial era. It's totally unrealistic to have an inflatable boat that says MS Rammstein?
You are smart. I like that a lot. subscribed! Check out "Story of the Eye" by Hypno5e. This is music for intelligent people.

Btw. Germany had far fewer colonies than e.g. England, France, Portugal, Spain.... 😉
And only briefly, since modern Germany began in 1871 and the colonies ended with World War I, so not even 50 years. Namibia is the only one where something of the time has remained today, because many cities there look typically German.
Germany is also one? of the first country to come to terms with the history and has agreed to pay (symbolic) compensation to the descendants of the victims who resisted the colonial power at that time.
pls check out Eisbrecher - was ist hier los
Eisbrecher live is the biggest party ever!
In my view the lyrics and the video differ in their meaning. The video shows colonialization which is not the topic of the lyrics.
this i can def agree on! altho some parts of the video do show the sextraffic, , but as part of the colonialization. the video is about so much more than what the lyrics are telling
I am not sure this is specificly about sex tourismus. of course it is a valid interpretation, but maybe it is a critic to colonialism in general as well. The came, the behaved like they were kings and superior, they exploited the people and then when they had all their goods they left and moved to another location. In a certain way this is still how it goes , except they are no real colonies anymore.
Germany had not that much of colonies as other european countries. England, France or Netherlands had way more. I guess that was not by intention but by accident.
And for the record for the non German speakers: When he sings "Du kommen mit. Ich dir machen gut" it is a kind of mocking a foreign accent. That would not be the right way to say it in German.
Isnt that exactly what we discussed in the video?

there's no such thing as too much interpretation when it comes to music. each has their own way of experiencing it and interpretating things. thats the beauty of it
Germany had only one colony in Africa, South West Africa, now called Namiba and the language he is referring to is: fucking. The Song itself is about Sextourists and has nothing to do with the Video.
Einfach zwischen den Zeilen lesen ;-)
they actually had 6. Burundi, Cameroon, Namibia, Rwanda, Tanzania and Togo. they also had control over a bunch of other colonies is other lands like Kenya and Uganda for example. The video def has to do with Sex tourists, clearly, in more than 1 fragment.
Actualy, Germany had four colonies in Africa: Togo, Kamerun, Deutsch-Ostafrika (Tansania) and Deutsch-Südwestafrika (Namibia)
