That metal pumpkin was so posh. It looks exactly like something grandin road would put in a planter accompanied with a flower arrangement.
I get so gleeful when I see something at Goodwill worth way more!!Especially as ours has gotten so over priced.

That metal pumpkin would make a great craft project!I would put those orange flowers in the glass jar with the stones or the tombstone candle holder inside the pumpkin and maybe add the little pumpkin guy figure just for fun!;)🎃🕸🕷

Some trips are better than others. I seemed to find better stuff when I went more often. The good stuff goes fast.
I agree. I do the same thing, I think 🤔 cheaper at DT. I went thrifting yesterday and was really irritated at the prices.
I need to try some garage sales now that it's summer!
There is a Dollar Tree here that actually reduces its prices on seasonal items AFTER the season.👍

I have so many big Halloween pieces. I really have to consider if it’s worth the space.
Maybe if you wrap some orange fabric around on the inside of the pumpkin, that might be true.

I agree with your ugly pumpkin choice. And I also liked that big light-up skull. I did like that big metal pumpkin from the beginning, it was pretty unique. You seem to do what I do a lot, I think I may go back and get something later cause I'm unsure at the moment, then when I go back, it's gone! I always tell myself not to wait when that happens....but I do it again inevitably!

Goodwill has gotten so expensive and it's sad because they survive off of public donations but ever so often you can find a good bargain at goodwill summer is best time for Halloween stuff at thrift stores.
And spring cleaning time!
I get irritated when I see Dollar Tree items at Goodwill for more than $1 too. They should be no more than 49 cents. My Goodwill this week was bare of almost everything not just Halloween finds. It was shameful. I would definitely have grabbed the huge pumpkin for myself.
Everybody is saying I should have gotten the big pumpkin. Now I'm second guessing not doing so!
I concur re pricing Dollar Tree items, the only time I MIGHT pay a little more is on discontinued printed mugs/cups...some are too cute to pass up.😉

I know what you mean about the dollar tree products. I’ve seen Value Village and Good Will try to sell dollar items for $3-5 it’s so bad! They must not realize but those places always overcharge. They make a lot of money off of free stuff..
That first 9$ pumpkin would make a great pendant light fixture! I really liked the red canister jars too! Your thrift stores have so much halloween !

I have found here in Minneapolis that goodwill doesn't put out halloween til August. They dont even take holiday decor donations until late summer. I have found alot of amazing stuff at salvation army thrift. If you have any I would recommend taking a peak :)
I tend to hit the same two Goodwill stores because I can usually do so on my lunch break from work. ;)

You're not being negative about The Dollar Tree thing, you just know your Halloween stuff! I found this little skeleton at the flea market, the vendor wanted like 10 dollars for it and I went ''Hum, no, this was at Dollarama only a few years ago!'' and they dropped the price.
It pays to know your stuff! (I just got burned by overpaying for an inflatable on facebook marketplace. But I think it will be my next giveaway. Stay tuned...)

I am jealous that your store has soooo much stuff! I'm a sucker for JOLs so I would've bought almost ALL those JOL/pumpkins & I definitely would've bought that paper scarecrow even if it was repro Beistle. I like to buy paper good/paper ephemera in general because it's easy to store & tends to appreciate in value because it's "disposable" to so many.
I do love easy to store! That's my big factor in buying things these days... where am I going to put it! It's another reason I'm doing these walk through shopping experiences instead of hauls!

Excellent selection of items and look around the stores! Never have I ever seen so many contenders for "Ugly pumpkin of the month" all in one location (the first one.) I love the Haunted Tree and the skeleton pirates. The Jack 'O Lantern box was very unusual, I most likely would have picked that up.

You’ve found more than I have. Finally the other day we found 3 metal items. A skull, spider candy dish and skeleton candelabra. All cool and priced well. Goodwill has caught on as far as prices go. I resell some items to pay for my collections.
I wonder if it's that skeleton candelabra from the 90s. It was one of the first halloween decorations I ever bought!

It's not negative at all to say that you can buy something new at dollar tree rather than spending 3 times as much at GoodWill. LOL. It's logical and truthful, but these days both tend to scare people more than Halloween LOL.The only time I'd pay for something that was at Dollar Tree and spend more is if it is no longer there/from years ago, but that raises the value.
