Oh Crystal, listening to you say you wanted to make the ginger cookies but was short on one spice, brought back so many memories for me. My Mom and I every fall would go through and make sure she had all the typical spices that you use at Christmas along with baking powder, baking soda, extra sugar and flour, red and green maraschino cherries, choc chips and raisins. She always said if she had all of those things, there wasn't a recipe she couldn't try...lol. We lost our Mom in 2015 but this is one thing I do now every fall in our home home. We always loved to make Cherry Loaf. I've yet to make it and have any left over. Thanks Mom for all the precious memories!!!

I forgot to tell you! I purchased that beautiful red and gold book called, “The 25 Days of Christmas,” per Crystal, and Oh my gosh. It’s not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside. We’ve been reading it almost every day, or at least we catch up. I have learned so much about the birth of Jesus, etc. It is wonderful. Thank you for suggesting it. I was hoping we could peek at the decor in the Grinch theater room. 😊

Your Grinch night is always so cute! We love to make Christmas bark with saltines, super easy and my grandkids love putting different toppings on them. I love making spritz, chocolate chip, snowball, sugar and peanut butter blossoms. Then I usually try a new recipe. Oh, I make Christmas fudge too. I'll be busy next week!! Have a wonderful last week before the big day!!! ❤️🎄🎅🤶🍪

I have an andes candy cookie I make every year and everyone loves them along with peanut butter balls. You wrap the cookie dough around the andes candy. Have to get going on my baking.

My Granddaughter is the baker in my family....she makes all varieties of cookies!! Plain 'ol chocolate chip is one of our favorites along with Snickerdoodles and sugar cookies to decorate!!! There's also a Mexican chocolate cookie with marshmallows that is excellent! Thanks for Vlogmas this year!!! TFS

Yummy cookie time. Odd but delicious are chow mien cookies. Melt butterscotch chips and peanut butter together over double boiler…dump in a can of chow mien noodles. Scoop tablespoons onto a lined cookie sheet and refrigerate. So easy and so yummy.
All great ideas I think I'm going to try pretzel treats. I m going to make lemon cake box cookies this weekend. We'll try them out. Thanks for sharing 🎄

Oh my 14-year-old daughter makes meringue. It’s pretty simple and absolutely delicious. You should definitely try it.
I’ve enjoyed your vlogmas videos and enjoyed watching you bake today. Loved the Grinch night with the porch and other treats. You will probably do fine with the meringue cookies I never had much luck with meringue. I don’t bake anymore due to health issues but remember a time when I made so many different kinds of cookies. Some of my favorites were: Pecan sandies rollled around in confectioners sugar, there was also a chocolate crackle cookie(chocolate dough rolled in confectioners sugar before baking), a sugar cookie that wasn’t iced but the dough was rolled in granulated sugar before baking, it melted in your mouth. There were so many others plus cakes and cookies. 😊❤😊🎄

You made me want to bake!! Thank you. My husband don’t eat sweets and I only have my daughter to eat them so it’s hard to make a batch let alone many. The advent calendar you said last video tells you on the back what’s in there 🤔😆😂. Also I made a comment awhile ago about your gingerbread houses Put them together with a hot glue gun then decorate the frosting never holds the sides and roof. Trust me I’ve been doing it for over 25 years. Best trick ever ❤❤ love everything you do
Hi Crystal I live in the Central West of NSW Australia. Our town is only 40,000 people and we get a light snow about 3 times each winter around town. Usually May - July! That’s why we invented Christmas in July in our Blue Mountains to enjoy all the wonderful hot food you enjoy at Christmas.
I am a traditional Christmas person so I cook a turducken, Coca Cola ham, chipolatas in bacon, roast pork, spicy cranberry sauce, honey glazed apple sauce, gravy, hot potato salad, honey glazed beans and carrots. Then rich plum pudding with rum butter brandy custard and cognac cream. I make fruit mince pies. Rich Christmas Cake, shortbread, rum balls mint balls frozen Christmas cake White Christmas and 1 thing new. We always have nuts pretzels candy canes and mixed ‘soft lollies’ I think you would call them soft candies. Our dinner at lunchtime is washed down with spicy ginger beer. A wonderful accompaniment without alcohol. There is enough alcohol in my pudding. Boxing Day We always have traditional trifle and pavlova with cold meats and lots of salads and fruit and cheese platters. Cherries Strawberries and blueberries are all in season as are mangoes peaches etc. We have a lot of family gatherings as picnics in parks around us at this time of the year. There is always a cricket game and water fights to cool off if not near a beach or pool. Merry Christmas from the land ‘down under’ xxoo

My son gave me those same measuring spoons several years ago at Christmas and I love them! You are so right about the Nordic ware cookie sheets. We do the pretzel, Rolo and pecan halve and always make magic cookie bars. Thanks for baking with us.

Merengue cookies are very easy. I made them a lot in high school back in the 80’s. Add the mini chocolate chips to the vanilla merengue, delicious. I made them for our High School swim team and wrestling team, at the holidays. Placed them in their lockers when we would decorate the lockers for meets. 😀🤷🏻♀️
With your pretzel treat you can use candy cane kisses too for a peppermint twist to this
We always called the soft ginger cookies”Ginger Sparklers”.
I saw that peanut caramel bars also and thought about making those.

Last year I made hundreds of miniature pretzel Rolo sandwiches, they are yummy.
It is a family tradition to make date filled cookies.
Some of my favorite cookies to bake at Christmas are Red Velvet,Chocolate Caramel,and Fruit Cookies. ALL MADE FROM CAKE MIX. I use to spend hours baking cookies from scratch but when I found these recipes it was a game changer. Yours made my mouth water and the Grinch night was over the top. You are such a good mommy. My grandkids are now 17 and 18 but many fond memories of baking cookies with them when they were small. I also make the pretzels using rolos and a pecan half. May have to try yours too. Can’t beat sweet and salty right?
My Mom’s Lemon logs cookies, my grandma’s pepper nut cookie, peanut butter blossoms, frosted sugar cookies, Molasses Cookies and no baked cookies.
They all look so good. I need to get started on my baking. I feel so behind this year.

I've got to get baking this week.....definitely ginger bread cookies, etc. etc....one year I tried making a couple recipes using the cake mixes, they didn't turn out right, so never again. I will have to try the cute pretzel bites as you did, never have and see lots of people as you did make them, and I think they sound and look good. It's a busy and exciting time of year for sure!
We've made these cookies every Christmas for generations, but call them Molasses Cookies. Ginger Snaps have the same flavor, but are a hard cookie that "snaps" when broken or bitten into. I can't wait to try those other treats!

I just started making seasonal flavored meringues…Omgosh I promise it is easy and fun to make! Basically your mixer is doing the work. I made pink peppermint for our cookie exchange so yummy!
My kids are 30 and 28 now and every year to this day I get the request to make ricotta cookies and cream cheese snickerdoodles. Both are so light and airy and fluffy. They have become Christmas traditions in my family. I am also going to throw in the Magnolia Table chocolate chip cookies 🍪 this season. One cookie my family loves are the wedding cookies or Russian tea cakes, simple batter made with flour butter and pecans rolled in powered sugar. Also, instead of the pb blossom with a kiss, we make them with a mini Reese’s cup on top of each cookie!
Crystal, I made my pretzel recipe, but with a Rolo candy and a pecan on top. They are so yumm! I think my grandson and I will do them with a Rolo and a M and M on them. He loves helping me with the baking.
I do mine this way too.. i also make some with a m&m on top for the ones that don't care for nuts. ..yum!

Crystal, you need to think about buying silicone baking mats!!! I bought 2 Fat Daddios cookie sheet mats from Home Goods…so affordable compared to online and man oh man wish I had these years ago. No parchment paper or spray. Highly recommend!!!!
Crystal, I make a homemade chocolate chip recipe. Then, I layer graham cracker, marshmallow, piece of Hersey chocolate then wrap the cookie dough around that and bake. Everyone is requesting them again this year. So it’s chocolate chip cookie dough wrapped around a s’more !!
Love all the baking ideas! We make many cookies including sugar cookies, ricotta cookies, magic bars, fudge and the pretzel/rolo/peacn (you should try those if you like caramel!)

My mom made the best “Jewish coffee cake”, unfortunately she died before I was able to get her recipe…. I remember some ingredients, but not all of them, I’ve tried to replicate with what I remember, but no luck yet 😢
