There is no intention of proving one is better than other but you know how CZcams works while using titles. Just like me there have been other Dears who stated that it's their first time hearing this song from Vitas. The whole point of the video was to see what do you guys think. I had no idea about the fact that Vitas did ban Dimash from singing this song. I have heard it first from Dimash and i do have a separate video about it too! Agree with you but it's obvious when Dimash is no longer allowed to sing it publicly. Dimash has sang many covers.....this is the only one that disallowed him. And he has sang it quite a number of times live before Singer 2017 but not a single time after Singer 2017.....

I enjoyed Vitas performing Opera 2 - and was even skeptic about Dimash back then. Till I heard about the ban thing. That prompted me to watch Dimash's version and immediately converted to a Dear.
Respect to Vitas since he did work to get to where he is. But the ban was an absolutely sucky move for him to do.
Dimash, on the other hand, encourages everyone to be the best singers they can be (Eset Alzhanov and the trio who performed S.O.S was so heart warming!)
I liked Vitas singing it, and it is HIS song so we have to give him all the credit and respect for that. Dimash made an excellent job of it, took it to even greater heights, and I liked his stage performance more because it was so engaging and warm. I do like the beauty of Dimash's tone though. Vitas was showy but quite cold and self absorbed. Dimash is also a showman but he is more generous and warm. They are simply very different.

I find it strange that people compare the two. They are very different artists. Vitas sells an image from another world, like an alien or a robot, is part of his show. With Dimash the proposal is different ... I like both ❤️
Dimash inserted staccatos and modulated three times higher than Vitas. On top of that he was taped LIVE......no retakes and modificationa/autotunes......not allowed on Singer shows. Vitas is a one trick singer whereas Dimash is highly versatile. And at 1:38 clearly showed Vitas lipsynchìng here.
Vitas should thank Dimash for reigniting people's interest in his song....it also helps him earn a lot of copyright money as Dimash's Opera 2 videos has been viewed more than 2 billion times cumulatively.
I agree! Wish he shared it with Dimash to be known as a generous guy but he couldn't..
Dimash is the one who should mention Vitas name as a composer and thank him. As a professional you don't steal music. Not even apologizing. .

In my humble opinion, Dimash is amazing (and a very good performer) but I Vitas' performance (even if that's lypsinc) is completely hypnotic, his moves communicate so much energy! In my opinion he's very charismatic, and he's the author of the song!

Kudos to Vitas for composing the song and he does it well, but he is more of an acrobatic singer, imo. Dimash is singing the lyrics in a foreign language yet with much more emotion and expressiveness. Dimash has so many dimensions to his voice: texture, tone, vibrato, staccato and unbelievable purity ..... in addition to his range. I've never heard anyone sing like Dimash. Maybe we should ask Vitas to sing Ogni Pietra and see how he does. :-)

oh yes, very good idea to have Vitas sing Ogni pIetra. Actually, I listen to Vitas' Tibetan Plateau. The melody is so good and Vitas' tone compliments the song well. However, when it comes to Opera 2, I would say that "the spring rose above the source".

Dimash can sing anyones song but no one can sing one of dimashs songs, fact
Vitas' high notes are shrill and thinner and it's obviously not live. Dimash on the other hand has performed Opera 2 live many times before Singer 2017. Dimash's high notes are fuller and stronger with vibrato. After Singer 2017, Dimash no longer sing Opera 2.....at least not publicly because he's been forbidden. For obvious reason....why else.

hey I am a dear myself and I would appreciate my fellow dears if they do not compare Vitas with Dimash and do not ever say Vitas is any less than DImash because we would not have heard Dimash sing OPERA2 in the first place if Vitas did not create it . Becauuse it takes a lot of energy and talent to create a song .And I agree that I liked the orchestration and arrangement of Dimash better but it is really bad to see people bashing on Vitas
Vitas is very talent, composed many beautiful songs, but Dimash is far better singer, "the best", performer and composer as well, I used to be a fan of Vitas, know every song that he sing, have his CD as well, Vitas compare Dimash,, Dimash will win all the time, and Dimash will have more songs to come, He is the only one that I watch every day, thanks for your reaction.

Hi, thank´s for your video. In my opinion Vitas howls like a siren, though this seems to be a playback version. Playback is usually in russian show´s but normally Dimash is singing live, that´s one point. The other point is Dimash is a great performer, Vitas in my opinion is jumping like a jumping jack.

@@GauravMishra-kj4tg that is not correct. Did you hear that somewhere? You have been told something that isn't true, and it isn't true because of a very logical reason.
Dimash has only ever sung this song on the Chinese TV competition The Singer. Lip synching and auto-tune is completely banned on that show because it is a competition between professional singers and they HAVE to sing live for every performance. There may have been different occasions on other shows where Dimash had to lip synch but it couldn't be on this song, because after he sang it just once on The Singer and it became known on CZcams, Vitas banned him from singing it again in public, and Dimash has honoured that wish. You will never see any other performance of Opera 2 sung by Dimash, and since the performance he did on The Singer was a completely live performance, you will never see him lip synching it.

Actually, he doesn't have to lip synch any song. He's THAT good. He does sometimes make mistakes though as you can hear in some of his live performances. He's not perfect (even if a lot of his fans think he is LOL!).
I am sorry, but I think your attempt is just deemed to failure. Vitas is a talented, charismatic singer who rarely sings live, so why even try to compare the incomparable??!!! Dimash has academic training, pop, jazz, arrangement, continues to study in music composition...... I don’t even want to go deep into his singing abilities, because this is the ultimate dream of any other singer...

@@OnurKaanKaynarMusic Last year Dimash sang a song "Love is Like a Dream", the original singer was Alla Pugacheva who sang it 25 years ago. Dimash did his version and several days ago on April 23rd he received a ZD award - Soundtrack award from Moscow readers who voted for Dimash in Russia in nomination - The best cover of the song. We are not comparing his interpretation with Alla's and trying to find out who did it better because there are those who like the original singer and those who like Dimash's version.... The same with Vitas and Dimash..... that's why I don't see the point in checking out who did it better....

At min 1:40 Vitas tilts his head backward and the microphone is pointing lower toward his chin which lessen the sound. Tilting you head back like that can restrict airflow and cause tension. Looks like he's being more theatrical than worrying about the quality of his voice. Just saying

@@dearlydears5301 that's irrelevant here. Playback or not, coaches should be reacting to Vitas' purported "live performances" where he moves his microphone around, instead of festival performances where he was obligated to use the full studio track without any cuts.
Vitas has performed the song at many events since its release in 2001 and that's why the quality of the videos (and thus, the audio) is not so high on CZcams. Vitas is an established superstar known for these kinds of songs in Russia.
Yet, Dimash is a young opera singer who became known mostly in his country Kazakhstan, after his cover (what a cover though) of this exact song on a Chinese TV show of competition for singers. Obviously, his version is a newer one, a recent video on the platform with high quality of video and audio.
He is a pure talent though.
So, Dimash has a lot to work on (career and achievements) before being compared to a superstar although he has that confidence, quality and most importantly potential even to be a bigger star.
He was around long before Dimash. People need to start recognizing.

At the time of this recording, early post Soviet Era, all and every sound you hear was pre recorded. Doesn't matter whether you need it or not.
Vitas singing has this crispy feeling, clear, clean and beautiful, like wind rings the bell. Dimash's singing is dull, soft, loose, maybe he can get to some high notes, in general, the voice is soft and dull.

You should have picked a video from his tour performances where he moved the microphone around instead of this Chinese festival performance where artists were obligated to use playback. They changed this rule in 2010 and encouraged live singing, but Vitas only sang the verses live thereafter. In tour performances, he performs with a live band but has a studio instrumental playing independently from the vocal, which makes it seem live at first. His microphone movements are meant to prove he sings live but this is just a clever trick where singing into the microphone activates the studio acapella to play in real time.

I'm sorry just read through some comments (not trying to start anything just wanna say this) but there is three things that need to be said 1. is that he has sang the exact same high notes live and without a mic to prove there is no lip-syncing 2. the reason he stopped Dimash singing the song is because it is vitas original song and for some strange reason others said it wasn't and claimed it to be Dimash's and 3 Vitas and Dimash both hit the high note at C#6 so they don't have different range for this. (have a good day) :)

Dimash only tried to show off, vitas already made a new version of opera 2 in 2020, where he hits an F6. Singing higher notes than the original songs doesnt mean u are better, it means u are disrespectful to the main artist who u are copying anyways, and thats why vitas sued dimash. Vitas rarely uses his whistle register, but he recently hits B7 note with it. Singing is not hitting high notes anyways, its being pleasant to the listener's ear, and this is what makes vitas a better singer, he has his own style, he is versatile, more smooth and pleasant to the ear whereas dimash screams more than he sings, and his excessive vibrato and bad pronunciation makes his not pleasant to heat and he is only a vocal acrobate and a show off, every songs he sings, he has to ruin with excessive screaming and high notes. I can't stand him or listen to him for more than 10 min.

🥰I give credit to both of them however in this case Vitas brought in a lot of the movements and things that I see the match doing nowadays like with the microphone when he’s singing he brings it back-and-forth to his lips like in a quick motion Any of the movement that emerged as I’ve seen Vitas do in his prior days I’m not saying this is a bad thing I’m just you know in this case I’m giving credit to beat us for being one of the first performers to be themselves into these unique loud hi sound mean he started years ago and he’s like my favorite thing of all times for Vitas he’s very unique piece on my list too
This is the first time I've seen the Vitas version, he's a little bit wooden although quite funny. Vocally he did pretty well although it was obvious that all the high notes we heard was in fact a studio playback with sound effects added. Dimash sang completely "Live" and went higher. Dimash is able to sing higher with ease because he has a 6+ Octave range. I doubt that Vitas has a 4 Octive range. There is nobody in the same class as Dimash even when they're voicing to a backing track. 😊🏴👍

Thanks for your reaction. Well it’s a matter of preference. Music is universal and everyone experience it differently which I respect. I prefer Dimash’s version because it’s his voice and the way he delivers every song, the emotions I can feel and in the story telling that Dimash can draw me in. Dimash touches me in the soul🙏⭐️🧿

He did one key change, dimash did 3. You’re a little new so you haven’t seen Dimash range. Dimashs range is A1 in the first octave in the base of the keyboard. His top note is D8 one note higher than the top note of the piano. See his low range in drunken concubine with dimash and LiGang also singing the diva dance. See and hear his D8 in unforgettable day in Gakku concert in China. Vitas is entertaining and fun to watch but dimashs technicalities should not be put against any male or female singer.

See the difference is Dimash can sing a song written for Vitas, but on the other hand, Vitas doesn't have the ability to sing a song that was written or arranged for Dimash. Dimash's range and expression abilities are out of this world. Doesn't mean Vitas is bad or anything. I'm just saying that Dimash is bigger than the song Opera 2. Every song he does shows a different aspect. Comparing singers is hardly fair. But if you are going to do it, then you need to look at their whole body of work, their full range, their control, and their stage presence and performing abilities.
Dimash went higher in this song than Vitas but his talent isn't limited to just his range. Also, this particular performance of Vitas is suspect in regards to it being live.

Ama Vitas Dimash tan rahatsız oldu ve onun şarkılarını söylemesini yasakladı. Şahsen Vitas'ın bu davranışı bana dışarıdan özgüvenli görünse de iç dünyasında aynı hissetmediği izlenimini uyandırdı. Sonuçta sanat sanatçının duruşunu davranışlarını da kapsayan bir bütündür. Bana göre Vitas, yaşı ilerlediği için "önceden" harika olan ses yeteneğini biraz köreltmiş eski bir Rus show adamı sadece.. Gerçek bir sanatçı, sanatı daha iyi noktaya taşımaya çalışandır. Kendi adıma dinlemeyi tercih etmem.

Vitas is incomparable. Adding or creating a higher notes is a different story. He can make it much higher too. Respect his originality. Both performances are awesome. 👏👏

With all due respect , I think you should take that to a musical school or an audio recording engineer to check it out for you and the engineer can use a software to remove the electronic synthesizer and the other digital enhancements. Oh yeah and please go see a doctor there's difinetely something wrong with your ears .

Yes, but Dimash then goes up in tone twice, in total, a higher tone than Vitas.
And not only.
Dimash sings it slower, which is more difficult to control the voice, the sound.

except Vitas sing it much better, as Dimash's version lacks emotions and proper stressing. It's just another "perfect sound" anysong. But Vitas not only a singer, he's a an artist, bringing new vibes and emotions. If you can understand lyrics with all intonation nuanced of language - you'll get it.

Not even comparable. Dimash's high notes are rounder and fuller, more powerful whereas Vitas' high notes are shrill and thinner......that being said...it's not even LIVE.

Sorry, Vitas and Dimash are completely diff types of singers. Vitas sings in falsetto and has no classical training. It's very bad form to compare them because Dimash is technically far superior. And as far as I'm aware, Vitas has never sung the chorus live.

Vitas has much cleaner voice and handling. Not to say Dimash was not good, but in his version song sounded a lot less powerful yet effortless.
Dimash's high notes are very powerful and fuller. Vitas high notes are squeaky. And Dimash added in staccatos and did it 3 times higher.
Have seen Dimash get higher and higher then him! You're totally right! Incredible God given voice and truly hardworking singer to get to top!
I find it the opposite, Vitas has a more reinforced vocal that sounds delicate and not forced, but he also has an unfair advantage because he uses studio alterations and fake lipsync tricks in concert.
Higher does not mean better, he overdid it. And the squeakiness adds to his character
