This what I was thinking when staying up till 3 am finishing my 5 page essay. Literally slept 1 hour and a half and then got to school and turned it in the class .
The level of focus you have to have to get this done in 5 hours straight, is a serious talent.
Its definitely the adrenaline from the fear of not making the deadline. Even if I say I don't care if I miss it, i will always focus and end up making it

Actually, if you pull an all nighter it is recommended you have a 20min nap right before the sun comes up so it tricks your brain into thinking it’s had a nights sleep as it is getting up eith the sun.
@@madeleinea.1202 This does make sense but whenever I do this those naps become 2-3 hours long and I remember actually missing my test once because I couldn't get up. Thankfully, that test wasn't that important but I still felt bad since I studied for the whole night for it. After that, I prefer looking like dead body running on coffee than taking a nap lol

this is me lol. my awful lifelong procrastination habit has given me the skills to complete most assignments the night before theyre due and get a decent grade, which is not good bc that then enables my procrastination bc i know even if i get to the very last day i can complete it the night before or the morning of (it usually turns out fine and i get a good grade but it stresses me out so much more than it would have if i just worked on it during the time i was given like i was supposed to)

Your intro's deserve an award. Also, it takes a special kind of concentration (or possibly desperation) to be able to work at that time in the morning, writing that many words, all within that time limit. Vee is the essay queen!
Most humans are in fact at their most efficient in the morning.
An early morning start for an essay/revision is far better than staying up until late.

This is the second video I've seen of this girl and I already love her. She's so down to earth, relatable and really funny. To all fellow procrastinators: a trick that helped me was to just accept that I will do everything on the last day. Once I accepted it, I could let myself enjoy my free time all up until the day before a deadline instead of feeling guilty that I'm not studying.

I just finished a master’s degree and this was me throughout the year. Love how real this is but also a dangerous habit when you know deep down you can leave it till the last minute and come out with a completed decent essay. So much unneeded stress but until you get burned badly by a bad mark it’s a hard habit to kick.

This was me too throughout my Grad School and even through my one whole year of working at the Development Sector after graduation. Some habits never change. Now I am on a year's break and it feels unhuman and not normal to be eating and sleeping well!

I remember when I rewrote an essay in 1 night because I really wasn’t happy with how it had turned out. I was in my final year at uni and me and all my friends ordered pizza and stayed up all night in the library to get our work done. It was intense but so gratifying to get it finished.

God that’s basically me on a 1pm deadline for a 2000 word essay. The day before the deadline...I’m going to do it today. Today comes and I procrastinate with 0 words. Then it’s 2am ‘ I should sleep I’m really tired’ wakes up at 7am. No words. 9am comes and I’m literally typing away and just about finish at 12:57 noon. And 3 minutes to submit whilst I’m having a panic attack.
