She Misses Her Friends

- We hear her cycle through her friends names multiple times a day. She is starting to add the word "today" with their names insinuating that she wants to see them now instead of later. Working on helping her understand that everyone can't be available at all times is not an easy task. Especially knowing how hard it is for her to make friends.

Try setting up weekly social outings with her friends and then use a visual aid to help show her how much longer until her next social event with her friends.

So sorry you weren't able to go on your trip, that must have been disappointing. Braylee seems to be making great progress in dealing with situations that cause her anxiety and I'm sure you are so grateful for that. You really sent me down memory lane asking about drive-in movie theaters. I haven't been to a movie theater of any kind in over 40 years and a drive-in would have been about 48 years. It was in Sacramento, CA but I have no idea what movie we saw.
That’s exactly how I am when I say something to my mom or dad they don’t answer me for a while because they get zoned into their phones. It does make me very frustrated. I do have a few disorders and I have a learning disability.

It’s so cool that you have harnesses in some of the bus seats. When I was in third and fourth grade and maybe second grade I was not able to sit on a regular bus seat with no seat belts because of my disability. I have a physical disability so and I was a petite girl so the district had to install a harness for me to get put in in order to ride the bus safely. I was not able to keep myself on the bus seat without having a strap and because I was so small and had some difficulty sitting up I had to sit in a harness for a couple years

We have a drive in theatre two towns over from us and it's the only one around. It's been quite a few years since we have been there, and I can't remember what movie was playing. I want to say it was "Up" which is an awfully cute and touching movie. Glad to hear that Braylee can push through her anxiety. I have it too and it is not always an easy thing to do. Good for her and you are right, she is a Boss. Happy July 4th to you.

I might not look like I have a disability in my profile picture. But I do. I’m 17 and I did have a lot of meltdowns when I was in the MD unit. Which is a small group class for students that have a little bit of a severe learning disability.

We went to drive-ins a lot when I was growing up. I don't know if it was the last movie I saw but I remember Cheech and Chong Up in Smoke because I took my 7 year old son , not knowing what the movie was about. I tried really hard not to laugh, hoping that everything was going over his head. As we were leaving he asked me if smoking dog poop really made people act crazy. Apparently, he was paying more attention than I thought.😂

Seems like u should've backed in at the movie & open the back hatch up 2 sit on or set up a cpl chairs. You proudly would've had a better view..
We wanted to to have the option to be more comfortable in her seat. We had chairs to sit outside of the car but she didn’t want to
