  • Review of the DeWalt laser level mounting pole, model DW0882. This pole can extend up to 10 feet tall. It allows you to place a laser from floor to ceiling. A space saving alternative to using a tripod.

    Thanks for demonstrating the Dewalt pole. You might look into adding an Arca swiss base plate and base quick release system. Every photographer knows what I mean. They would double the price, but save time in the long haul.

    Good review! Can you please tell me what that support is in the background holding up your cupboard is? I’ve been looking for a decent one that works well for holding the top tiles up in a window recess but the ones I’ve found have mixed reviews. Cheers 😊

    Can I use this pole with the DeWalt DCE089D1G18 ?

    The pole behind you holding up the cupboard is metal and the laser you are using has magnets. They work together without the added clamp and will stretch out even higher than the dewalt pole. That’s what I use anyway. Perhaps the dewalt set up is cheaper? I’m not sure.

      Agreed, but I prefer using the laser pole bracket.

      @@toolrev it's tilted thogh and most laser levels just shut off or won't self balance beyond a 5° tilt

      Yes, any laser with a standard 1/4'' mount as long as the laser isn't too big.

    Looking to pick up the DW0882 but I can't find it anywhere... where'd you get yours?

    • @toolrev
      @toolrev  Před 3 lety +1

      Amazon. They run out of stock and then it comes back. I think right now things are taking longer to restock. The normal price for this tool is $90 or less.

      @@toolrev Thanks for the reply. Needed a pole in a hurry so I ended up getting the Laser Pole LP36 since that was only thing close to the dewalt. I'll see how it holds up.. Happy Holidays...

    Do you prefer the pole over a tripod?

    • @toolrev
      @toolrev  Před rokem +2

      Depends on the situation. The tripod is easier to set up but the pole saves space and is floor to ceiling so I prefer it in small spaces.

    I install curtain rods or railings for customers and this sure looks handy however my concern is that this might leave a stain/mark on my customers ceiling or worse, I might damage or leave a hole on the ceiling from overextending this pole. Any comments on that?

    • @toolrev
      @toolrev  Před 3 lety +1

      Would be pretty hard to damage a ceiling but I have seen it leave a few marks that wiped off. Hasn't been a problem but maybe place a rag between to avoid any issues.

      I'm a commercial carpenter and do residential remodeling. I've never seen a red or green laser leave marks of any kind on a wall or ceiling. It's nothing but a low lowered light beam

      @@JudgeBuster he meant the laser pole foot / head shoe on the ceiling as it is rubber. But keeping clean, shouldn’t leave any marks on the ceilings. Never had issues with mine and I love it
