  • Join us on this Puerto Escondido Street food tour! We are Jenny and Kevin two Mexican-Americans from Chicago traveling in Mexico in search of home.
Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca has easily been one of our favorite places in all Mexico. We have traveled here three times in one year and it keeps drawing us back. Every time we come back to Puerto Escondido so much has changed, there’s always new restaurants and businesses but what hasn’t changed much is its delicious street food.
Puerto Escondido is not specifically known for it’s street food but like many places in Mexico it has some stellar street tacos.
One of the challenges of this vlog is that Kevin is on a keto diet for now and we will show you some of our favorite spots and show you the challenges of not being able to eat carbs in places where tortillas are an essential part of our diet. If you are interested in learning more about how we manage keto in Mexico or traveling on keto make sure to leave a comment below.
We consider Puerto Escondido one of Mexico’s best beach destinations, DON’T MISS OUT on our guide to Mexico’s paradise.

I think this is a better direction to take your channel. Travel videos are abundant and honestly, it's not cheap to do some of the items that are on there. I would rather see videos of what locals do and eat and where locals recommend staying as that is more in line with what living in Mexico is all about on budget incomes. Food stands and Mercados are great - but give a map of their location as well. Street tours can be helpful too.

@@EatBailaTravel Yes, when we started eating carbs again we noticed these differences; psychological satisfaction, return to energy swings (up and down due to spiking blood sugar levels)-on Keto our energy level was very constant throughout the day. And the last difference-return of the muffin-tops. We eat far less carbs overall now after our keto experience-Lori does better with carbs being naturally slim but I (Ayr) don't, so I eat like 5 tortillas in a month now.

A couple of questions for you: 1) Keto's been pretty popular for a while. I wonder if anybody selling food in that part of Mexico has heard of the keto diet--have you ever tried asking the vendor if they know about it? Or maybe if there's a local gym or trainer, ask them if they have any tips for you when it comes to finding keto meals in town. 2) Have you already lost some weight? You look like maybe you have. Good luck! (And the video looked fine.)

Nice. Just stay away from all the vegetable oils on Keto. Also check your APA/E Gene. If you have a certain Gene its actually very toxic for your body. Ever consider carnivore with fruits? I did both diets and we are all different but I felt so much better on the meat and fruits over Keto. Blood tests much better too.

Hi Dale! I have never hear of this gene situation before but I have been looking into adjusting it to a better balanced lifestyle. Especially because mango season is coming to Mexico and it’s my favorite season. Of all the carbs I am starting to add fruits, lessening my cheese intake and sticking to proteins, greens and fruits right before working out
