- Another day with the #Wolf Master, Franklin! Before I showed up at his place, he counted 15 sets of Wolf tracks between his 3 bait sites, all heading towards a natural spring he has on a lake nearby.
These dogs are becoming bigger & bigger each month they hit the bait & we are excited to see what kind of pups they have (colouring), as well, how many too! 2 years back we were lucky enough to attend one of the bait sites where the Momma Wolf was tending & educating her TWELVE Wolf pups on how to grab Moose meat out of 1-2 feet of water along the shoreline of the bait site lake. This submerged bait technique was thought of by Franklin to negate the Ravens & Eagles from stealing all of the Wolf bait & now the Wolves have adapted to learn how to stick their head under water to grab bait so they can drag it into the bush - Its quite a sight to see!
Beyond that, we are also selling genuine Wolf teeth mark cardboard pieces for $150.00!!! LOLLL just kidding... Unless you actually want one, then shoot me an e-mail & I will send you some Wolf teeth mark cardboard with a BONUS photo of the Wolf who bit the cardboard hahahahha!!!

Fantastic!! Adventure Joel and Franklin thankyou!!!
Its practically a hunting blog at this point LOL
Great video, you two have a blast. Great to see Franklin, he always has fun. Thanks for sharing.
As Franklin says... "If you can have fun, then go home & sit on your couch & shut up" LOL!!!!
Another great video! You’re gonna have to put out a couple videos a day! It’s the muddy season down here in Michigan. Watching videos and cleaning our handguns is the only thing we have to do 😂🤣
I've been on a trend as of late - These were all filmed back in March but here we are almost mid-April!
I'm onto boiling Maple sap for syrup & dreaming of my Bear hunting... Wolves must be hungry because I haven't baited them in a few weeks LOL
Its muddy here too... losing snow like crazy & the lakes are almost clear of snow. About 20 inches of ice still though.
Awesome couple days . Incredibly easy to tell when the pack is back lol those eagle tracks crazy . Digging the bait pile banter ! lol pretty sure most of us would prefer to support the camis lupus conservation cardboard project over the carbon tax grab. Good stuff guys
We can call it "The Canis Lupis relief fund" LOL only cuz it sounds tropical... like a hurricane name or something
@@PatterningNature lmao !! Love it
Wow, those wolves did a number on that bait. And Franklin is right about the sun dogs. I told that to a guy I worked with years ago. I saw sun dogs on each side of the sun and I told him it's gonna snow or something within 24hrs. And it did. He thought it was a coincidence and the next time, it happened again. I told him when you spend enough time in the woods and not watching TV, nature will give you a forecast if you listen. And that sunset trick works well. I often use it canoe camping to see how much time I have left to set up camp. Basically 15 minutes for every finger between the horizon and the sun. Not exact science cause everyone's fingers are different sizes but it's close enough when your on nature's time.
Also make note that the weather channel has no clue whats coming - Sometimes they are correct, but most times its all BS.
The only job you can lie to people & still get paid LOL
@@PatterningNature yup, the weather network has been way off since about 2019 I found. And not true about being the only job you can lie to people and get paid for it.... politicians do that every day! LOL!
wouldn't it be easier to dump the bait instead of cleaning up pieces of boxes? Like the old saying "work smarter, not harder"
100% correct my friend - We leave the meat in the boxes so the Ravens & Eagles can't fly away with the meat. All those birds do is grab a piece then drop it in the bush in a random spot.... Now take that & multiply it 100x & now the Wolves are spending the entire time in the bush VS. on the bait because of all the meat the birds have dropped in the bush.
With a bait site closer to dead brush, we'd drag dead fall over & cover the meat but this bait is 50 yards from our big clearing where the Wolf blind is, so we don't have much dead fall to grab so we leave it all exposed inside the boxes.
In the end of the day, we could always fill snowmobile sleighs with wood/brush but I leave Franklin's bait site up to him & what he wants to do. I personally leave the bait in the boxes, PLUS cover it with brush because it keeps the big dogs on the bait longer.
