Great video dude! I ‘m pretty sure that this truck isn’t rated for 3s but , but we all know their speed claim was done using a 3s. Funny how they do that 😂! I run mine on 2s hi capacity (50 or higher) and that definitely wakes it up over the stock 2s lipos! Definite esc replacement is in order to run a steady diet of 3s. Great video dude! Still a worthwhile and fun truck in my opinion.👍🏻👊🏼
Thanks! I don’t think it is. Someone commented saying they have this truck and the same thing happened to them. When they looked in the manual it said about not running it on 3S. It was worth a try at least. And yeah I agree. There’s no way they ran this truck with the provided 2S battery. Wasn’t originally planning on changing the esc but now seeing how fast it is on 3S there’s no going back to 2S. So a new esc it is.

Have the same rc and had the same issue. So I went and looked at the book that came with it not to run 3s in it. It really suck that they couldn't have put a ecs that would handle 3s for the price of the rc
Oh really? I never looked but I just figured it could handle it. Yeah you would think as expensive as it is you could run something a little bigger in it. I’ll most likely be putting a Hobbywing Quicrun 10/120 in it.
Keep in mind that the ESC in that truck is weak at 35 amp. You want to see 45 amp to begin with when running above 3S 25C. Not all 3S batteries are equal in punch. Pay attention to the C rating(discharce rating). a weak 3S at 25C will have far less hit than the 3S 50C battery you ran in that truck. That's why you damaged your ESC. 25C is the lowest spectrum of 3S regardless of Mah rating (charge capacity) and would have been the best 3S choice to run with the weak 35 amp ESC.
Ok that esc is not suposed to do that even on 3s the kv on moter is 3800kv so should b fine on 3s try get haiboxing to send u a new one they good about faulty stuff like that the servo will b next lol great vid👍
I’m just going to upgrade it and move on from the HBX stock electronics. I plan to replace the servo soon too while I’m at it.
What’s the 2/S high capacity battery you are running?

Get some duct tape on that body or drywall tape & shoogoo or ec6000 glue ya i felt bad i have done that so many times with new stuff it hurt cant believe shock tower broke to damn hbx step up your reisen mix 3s is for speedrun not bashing esc cant handle it
I’ll have to do that with the duct tape. These bodies are kind of thick and a little hard so they don’t have the flexibility like most other bodies. I couldn’t believe the shock tower broke like that but in HBX’s defense I was bashing when it was pretty cold out so that didn’t help with the strength of the plastic.
