      What I did, its weird, but I have this big mannequin in my basement, and I practiced on that for a long time, the more you practice, on real people or not, it gets easier and easier!

      I have a tip for you . You can divide your hair into two parts (left and right) and do one side first cuz the amount of hair is fewer and after practicing and you think that you can have the ability to tie 1 , you just do it slowly . But remember must comb your hair before tying your hair,if not,you’ll in a big trouble.

    I’d never thought about gathering the hair from the sides as your cross over each strand. That looks so much easier! I’m gonna try this.

    Could do another video slowly breaking down the hand hold? That is the trickiest part. It's difficult to see how you move the hair between your hand each time. Thanks.

    I have literally tired for almost 10 years to french braid my hair and could never understand how to do it. I followed along, pausing while doing my hair to keep up and it worked! looks a bit tangled and i missed a tiny piece of hair but I'm so stoked! Thanks!!!

    I'm amazed that you can do this without being able to see what you are doing, never mind that you do such a lovely job. As a teenager I wore a ponytail. I would have needed to ask my mother to do it if I wanted a plait, and she had more than enough on her plate.

    Thank you!!! This helped so much!!! I've always wanted to make this braid in my hair. It only took about 15 minutes.. It is really hard doing it on the back of your head..     I can't make 3 sections from the first part of my hair, so I just take the section, rubber band it, then grab one piece from each side to have 3 pieces. And then continue the braid as you explained :) Thanks for the tutorial, this was the most clear tutorial I've seen, really helped a lot
